I shoved a table saw and Miter saw rail the truck I shipped when I was in LA.They are saying I won't see it until June. So I'll manage my existing TV stand until then. This is a straightforward piece to make.

That os a very long time o, June? That is probably because it is from West Coast... here in East Coast, in one month, your truck don arrive Naija o.
I hate the idea of importing ordinary TV Stand from USA to Naija... so I will look for one locally. And I need it for 2 Living rooms, ground floor and upstairs and they both have 86" TV, so it has to be long TV stand. Please keep me posted.

A mix of Time and Goodwill. Thanks Man. A fair amount of rework to be done to be honest. Asshole tilers didn't match switch and socket openings precisely in some places. But we moove.

Baba, you have done an excellent job here. I love the attention to details, empowering of the local artisans with acquisition of tools that will make their job better and the general eco-friendly nature od the build. I salute!

For doors, I love the idea of a composite between wood and MDF board. You can get a nice timber (like Omo, Afara or Malaina) to do a 5" wide frame and then embed the MDF board that blend with the wood colour in between.
Here you get structural integrity with the wood frame and then get aesthetics with the MDF.

Thank you Sir. My next build will definitely be handled much differently as I learnt from this one. You guys taught us a lot like in a classroom setting over the years and this was my opportunity for practicals.

I’ll share the door suggestion with a local finish carpenter that I located here.

A WiFi wall switch is part of the internet of things iOT.

In its simplest form, you can voice control it to turn off and on from anywhere in the world as long as internet is available.

In advanced protocol, it can turn on and off at a set schedule or from an external command. For example when triggered by another iOT device. Say when your spouse opens the fridge to sneak a piece of chocolate pie.

In a Nigerian context, all your switches could turn on when your phone is a set distance from the house. So you arrive home to a house that is 100% lit.

Or as simple as turning of all lights in your house by just saying “Alexa, turn off all the lights.”

I’ve been using this for almost ten years.
