This type of lawyer is one of Nigeria’s problems. After they freed you, what stopped you from driving to the state police command to raise the issue, instead you came to SM, at least you were not blind, you could have gotten some identification. I have identified a police patrol that tried extorting me just by the code number on their hilux, the operational name ‘safer highway’ and the exact region they were stationed and right from state headquarters they were summoned. Other Nigerians would continue to pass through such because you simply drove away. Trust me Nigerian police no good but they no love themselves either, a simple escalation of the issue and you would see results and save others.
