Based on what you posted, Ronaldo's goal ratio is actually better than that of Zlatan..

According to your stats, Zlatan would score 1.65 goals in a match, while Ronaldo would score 2.25 goals in one match.

But but,.....let's agree with you. grin

It looks like Ghegen manager is not playing to the favour of Ronaldo, Cavani and Bruno. Goals are now more likely to come from other team members.

Sebi na this Mane and Salah some guys spent months arguing with me two years ago that we have better forwards in Rashford and Martial. All for the sake that Mourinho must go and the blame must be midfield.

I remember in 2014 or 2015, someone here asked me 'how is Mane an upgrade on Lingard and Perreira'

The United board has brought us this low. They always were able to secure 3rd, 4th, 5th choice of the coaches transfer targets. The transfer market also is unfair to Manchester. United. This was why Ole DNA appealed to the board.

His current tactics is good in the long run. He's making the team play more as a team. The present predicament we are facing now is just conversion and some key players refusing to make the right decisions at the right moments for easy goals.

Against a championship 7th placed team, it is easy to say this

Exactly.

Don’t know why Salah was crying. It wasn’t as if they deserved to win it more than Senegal.

Rooney, who famously had a public spat with Sir Alex Ferguson in 2010 after questioning their transfer policy, said: “You could see after 2011; Ronaldo left in 2009, Tevez left and after that you could see it was going to go backwards before it can move forwards.

The dream team: Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney at Man Utd
“That’s what I could see and that’s why I was asking the questions. Unfortunately, they probably still haven’t recovered from that to this day.

“It wasn’t a great team in 2013. For us to win that League title was a miracle, really, I think.

“A massive part of it was Van Persie. I think him coming in gave everyone a lift, coming in at number nine, scoring the goals he scored.

“That was a bit of a masterstroke from the manager, to bring him in and have him hungry because he was a bit older as well. He really carried us that season.”

The sale doesn't make sense.

The club is rich, why sell assets?

Imagine Liverpool selling Arnold and Robertson because of money they already have. undecided

And that is how you know winners.

Some players would have been sulking up after that penalty miss, thereby resulting into them playing nonsense, but Mane remained focus and carried on like nothing happened
Exactly.

Gabaski’s saved 3 penalties before the final amidst other amazing performances. Quite scary for any attacker in a knockout competition. Egypt trusted the man so much that they deliberately tried to stretch each knockout game into a shootout (since their opponents always played better in normal time).

But Mane’s reaction to that missed penalty and his decision to take the winning penalty is a whole new level of mental strength. Man was determined to show Gabaski who’s boss. That winning penalty was inch perfect: hit hard and low, placed to the left.

Another player who contributed massively to Senegal’s win was their captain, Koulibaly. He showed mental tenacity when he stepped up to take the first penalty in the shootout.

Considering that Gabaski had already made 4 penalty saves in the competition. Koulibaly’s penalty was a defining moment for Senegal. If he had missed, I bet every other Senegalese player would have missed. A true Captain.

Man blew his chance at a solid arguing point for FIFA’s ‘The Best’ award, and he’s never won an AFCON.

He’s being hunted with AFCON same way Messi was with Copa America.

The final should have been Senegal vs Cameroon. Egypt played satanic football to get there.

I don’t know how you rate players, but football for me is mostly about commitment, passion, mentality, versatility and display on pitch.

There’s a reason Egypt started flopping immediately Salah made his debut for them.

Mane is the strength and pillar of that Liverpool attack. Strength, creativity, stamina, finishing, selflessness, man can also help defensively, falls deep to ball too. I’ll pick him over Salah.

The Glazers are Chief reason United is in this position.

They started the rot more than a decade ago. They sold assets and refused to buy capable replacements.

When things became rotten, they threw money at the problem. And they weren’t smart about it too.

They bought players mainly for their commercial worth than for their actual contribution to the development of the squad.

80m for Koulibali is too much. But it’s enough to land Fridgeguire.

And how long have we been crying for a proper DM?

If you carry Utd mata for head, na you go suffer.

I’ll pick Mane as well. Just saying that Salah’s contributed his quota to their success this season.

Also, there’s always an unfortunate tendency for star players to be over-relied on by their teammates.

That’s why it’s good to have the burden of performance spread out rather than concentrated on one player. Liverpool isn’t reliant on only Salah or Mane, hence their success. Senegal isn’t reliant on only Mane as well.

When a team becomes too reliant on one player, they’re doomed. Because teammates become lackadaisical with the belief that they will win simply because they have so and so person in their team. They subconsciously stop putting in the effort they would normally put in if that player wasn’t there.

The burden then becomes too much for the star player, and everything starts going downhill.

In reply to the emboldened.

Salah hasn’t had an ‘off’ season because he’s extremely good at numbers. Something Mane struggles with. He’ll need to put in a lot to deliver like Salah, and yesterday’s AFCON final is a classic example of this.

Mane got multiple chances to score but each chance evaded him (either Gabaski stopped it or his leg just could not reach the ball). Salah was missing in the match, but the one time he had an opportunity to shoot, he would have scored had Mendy not shown quick spatial awareness.

It’s quite funny that a player can be missing for the entirety of a match, and his first shot attempt is a goal.

Another player that’s good at this is Rashford. He gets blasted a lot for poor performances, but his stats tell a different story.

These type of players cause headaches for coaches. Because even when they’re not playing well, the coach knows that somehow they can still register a goal for the team.

Salah’s a great player, no doubt, but he’s mastered the art of racking up numbers whilst doing the least on the pitch. If Mane goes missing in a match, he can’t rack up the numbers to grey out his poor performance.

Salah's been the highest creator of chances asides Trent since he came to Liverpool...
You can't say he's stat padding when his general play is up there with the likes of Kelvin...
Asides chances created, his assists are also high...His second assists also tell the story...
He's the best offensive player Liverpool has had in years with the exception of Suarez...
