Ok first of all this isn't for me. I applied for my best friend, Bsc., Memorial university.

First application: March 3rd
Refusal: July 7th
From gcms notes, based on proof of funds and her mother's salary of about 170k was not commensurate with her salary and they couldn't see the account statement clearly (it was blurry because of low quality)

2nd application: 27th September
Upfront medicals and biometrics from previous application.

What we did different was she took IELTS for NSE, used mybankstatement. Her dad brought his account too (he didn't before) and she paid first semester tuition and started first semester online. We didn't defer. We believed.

Medicals wasn't updated and I felt they didn't see it and so I kept resending it through webform till it was updated to pass the following week.
Eligibility started December 7th
Ghost update January 14th or so
2nd ghost update January 31st

Over 600 emails to different offices(who begged me to stop) and 50 webforms. Only Abuja helped honestly.

PPR dropped February 7th
Abuja even sent a mail saying I have received an IMPORTANT LETTER from Nairobi. God is wonderful.

As for me, I have applied to university of Winnipeg for this fall for Msc. I got a supervisor with over 20k dollars in funding and I am just waiting for the official admission letter. I now have experience from processing my friends own and from this wonderful nairaland thread. Anyone who comes to me for advice I need only give them this thread link.

Thank you family. Canada will favour us

Wonderful God! Congratulations to your friend. Yours is coming soon.

Please quick question. My friend just got ppr today. Like I said earlier we didn't defer and she did fall semester and currently doing winter both online. Can she travel this month ending even if it's online or she should wait till its 28 days before the next semester which is late march or April?

Thank you. So before you went in December you didn't have an enrolment letter for the approved student visa? I am asking because I plan to go get my study permit and accommodation in March and return home before finally leaving in May to start my studies.

At this stage you need professional advice which you need to pay for, I would suggest you for this advice within Canada. You don't want to lose both ways.
Pls take this advice seriously, I have been in similar circumstance

Long Post Alert

Indeed What God Cannot Do Does Not Exist

I am so grateful to God for making my joy complete. In deed what I have been waiting for has come to pass. As a family, we have always desired moving to Canada. The journey started in 2019 when a friend spoke to my husband about the Express Entry Pool. However, our score was so low, so we decided to try the study route.

In Feb 2020, I met an Instagram agent who collected over 2.5 million from us to migrate through the study route. No need to mention his name in this piece, (I can't give a fraudulent person unnecessary publicity).

He secured an undergraduate admission to the University of Manitoba. After submitting the visa application, I got to find out about nairaland. Then I realized many things were wrong with my application process.

Next, I got in touch with Frank (fandrglobal.com) and he asked me to start seeking for a master's admission in a related course. Since I studied mass communication and currently working as a remote digital journalist with a firm in Switzerland, I decided to opt for a Masters in Journalism Project at the University of Regina.

In September 2020, I got my admission letter and started planning ahead of 2021 fall. Meanwhile, this agent never told me I had been refused. I kept on waiting until Frank advised that I link my application to a new mail. This is when I found out that my previous application was refused in October 2020.

Next, we started making plans to submit a new application in 2021. Application was submitted on April 13th.

July 2021, I was refused (my 2nd refusal) based on personal assets and finance.

I decided to opt for JR. I contacted an immigration lawyer, and she filed for a JR on August 6th. GCMS note showed that I had a lump sum, which was from the fixed deposit that I liquidated.

JR Timeline

Courts settlement: September 1st

File reopened: September 14th

Request for new documents: October 8th

Document submitted: October 14th.

Then the wait started. I contacted my lawyer several times to help follow up, but she was reluctant. So Frank, Morayo, and Biola advised that I send a form to IRCC requesting to cancel her as my rep.

I filled out the use of rep form and submitted on January 24th. I started sending 5 emails and web forms daily. In between this period, my husband and I decided to sow a seed, we fasted and had days of praise and worship.

I keyed into my pastor's prayer at David Christian Center (Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo) last Sunday that the yoke of delay is broken. I kept on speaking that word into my life and application. I held on to God's word and on Feb 4th, BVL dropped and PPR today.

I am truly grateful to God. The wait is indeed not easy. In fact, I got two offers from UK schools, and I was even considering opting for one before PPR dropped.

I want to especially thank Frank (fandrglobal.com) for his help all through this journey. Morayo and Biola, God bless you so much. Jane, Yinka, and Maureen, I met friends turned sisters in this forum and to everyone still waiting. The God that remembered me is still in the business of doing good.

From a small village in Anambra State to Canada, blessed be God's name.

Please at what point is biometrics updated on your profile if one has done biometrics for a previous application?

Note: first application is for visitor visa (approved) 2 years ago
Current application is for study permit, biometrics is not yet updated after a month of applying. Do I need to send a webform or just ignore?

Hi,

study permit has an element of luck and grace. I wish you asked first before dropping out. I would have advise you to waste that 2m and work full time in summer to recover it. The courses wont waste because you may be able to transfer them to your preferred diploma. Many aren't lucky twice, but you can.

You have to explain why you didn't attend your last school and why you are going for something lower this time. The visa officer may doubt your finances and purpose. So make sure your finances are tight and your letter of explanation is excellent. Applying with your husband, where you don't have a child or children that he will taking care of, may be hard to sell. Your finances and home tie must also be excellent. All the best.
