The items were not waybilled, the items are still with her.

I agree I fvcked up as I am yet to buy and I wasted her time and also stressed her out, but that was never my intention. If u read through everything I posted u would see my intention towards how it all went down.

This is very different from ur case

Acording to her,she has already cut the stuffs accordinG to your specifications,so what do you want her to do with it?

Business in it self is inconvenience in nature so what's new? There are many other ways to get the goods to the park without the touted "inconvenience"

You see why people like to do Pay before delivery? Had it been he has paid before Ben delivered, the story would have changed . Even if he cancelled after payment.

Why did hr block her is the question here. Why? If that isn't wickedness

I'm sure he blocked her after she started throwing insults , thats their way.... everyone has the right to cancel order.... anywhere in the world... its part of the business ... if she wanted money for first b4 delivery, she should have mention it ...if he says no ,then she makes the decision of sending to make her gain or forget the business ... people cancel huge deals and contracts in the last minute and heaven no fall...its part of business... u cant force a customer to buy ur goods when he or she has decided to cancel order , even if its the last minute

Its no ones business the time she might have read it...in court what will be recognised is time a message was sent and not when she read it.... thats the reason for the double tick on wasap, thats incase of litigation... if I'm with my fone , a message cud come thru on wasap and I will even read it without the sender knowing... fraudster use this trick as well to claim they dint see ur message... Dobu know whether he called he and she dint pick ,or if the wasap number receives normal calls

Hello,

Created this thread to share my side of the story regarding this thread:

https://www.nairaland.com/6968649/customer-blocked-me-after-making

On Wednesday last week, I contacted Xcelinteriors cos I wanted to buy wallpaper and carpet. We agreed on N90k as the amount for the items (excluding waybill). I had every intention of paying for these items as I requested for her to drop her acc number for me to make payment more than once (u can see that from our chats) but she suggested she would first go to the park to confirm how the waybill would cost so I send everything including the money for waybill at once.

She told me she would leave her office to the park when she closes for the day and when she gets there I would talk with the park ppl to negotiate for the waybill and send the full money including the waybill to her.

After our last conversation, something came up on my end so with remorse, chatted her up to let her know she should not bother going to the park anymore as I won't be able to pay for the items any more.

I 100% had no idea she had already gone to the park (according to her) cos we talked on video around few minutes to 3pm.

Around 4:41pm, I messaged her that she should not bother going to the park again and something came up on my end so I won't be able to pay for the items again (as at when I sent this message, she did not tell me she had closed for the day already and was going to the park to waybill the items).

Dear Op, Apart fom putting blame of the condition of our country on this your issue... You knew that she has already cut the papers according to your measurement and it'll be by God's grace if she will sell it again and besides don't purchase any item if you don't have cash at hand because its like you are toying with her business and time.

Time is crucial and delicate to a business person once you give a final go ahead and then she has calculated the goods has being SOLD.

What i'll urge to do is to tell her to give you more time by reserving the items for you till you get the money.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ANY PROBLEM OF A NAIRALANDER WILL NOT BE TAKING LIGHTLY EVEN IF YOU WON'T UNDESTAND THE REASON WHY, ALL THE CURSES AND BAD AURA THAT HAS BEEN SENT YOUR WAY THIS MORNING MAY GOD WASH IT ALL AWAY AS YOU RESOLVE THE ISSUE WITH HER.

Bluffly:

So you don't have the money yet and went ahead to place order. To what end. Are not suppose to have earned before spending.

Same question should also be asked of the seller; was she not supposed to have had at least a deposit before cutting her linoleum?

All this ones are damage control...!! The time you told her to send her account details and to opt out of the deal is barely 1:30minx...!! You know the money is coming from a third party, yet you went ahead to strike a deal...

I put it to you that a friend of yours managed to convince you to opt out of the deal and get it elsewhere...!!

This reminds me of something sef...

Seun,
Find means with the mods to regulate all these online beggars on Nairaland here. One of them showed me pepper sometime ago. He was begging on a thread here and I mentioned him elsewhere and offered to help him start something instead of sending him stipend to food...

He accepted and I gave him my WhatsApp contact. He chatted me up and I linked up with someone advertising and selling okirika in this platform too. Since the guy accepted to sell such clothes...and turnover till he's able to stand on his own and send back the capital to me and continue with his own money(profit)...

I paid the Lagos dealer to send items worth over 100k ( can't remember exact amount now) and the items were warebilled to Akwaibom state...and then to Calabar.

This Nairaland beggar got delivery of the items. He said the materials sent weren't first grade. I asked him to repackage so that we send back to the Lagos contact but he declined and suggested he will try and market it that way...

That was the end... This guy ate the goods and everything...I know poverty will be eating him up wherever he is now for taking advantage of my goodwill to dupe me... Notwithstanding, I had plans of allowing him have that seed capital whenever he returns it...which is reason why I didn't border looking for him immediately I found out his real intent was to dupe people...He may have created so many monikers since then to steal from others too...

Moderate the beggars etc...Verify them to reduce such incidence. Thanks

The moment you requested for the goods, there is a contract already binding between both seller and buyer. You reneged on this. You could compensate for the cost of moving the goods from the shop to park in good faith.
That said, It's about time we begin to think of using professional ESCROW services to avoid cases as this.

There was no contract.... What has been exchanged? There was only an understanding or intention...

Everyday Nigerians do to their fellow what APC has been doing to us all since 2015.... Intentional Lies, propaganda, causing hardship, destroying people's economic well-being and still planing to foist another similar by-product of Buhari on us. Pathetic!

My only advice to the seller is to always collect her money upfront before delivery and later would negotiate cost of shipping.

If the buyer had committed funds, something won't have come up later.

According to Xcelinteriors she was in traffic for close to 3 hours but I talked with her on video around 14:58, then told her I wasn't buying again when she had already gotten to the park.

Just so u know, during the video call she made no mention of going to the park at that very moment. She only reiterated what she said earlier (which was that she would leave her shop to the park when she has closed for the day).

The time between when we talked on video and when I told her I wasn't buying again was just over one hour, how come she spent close to there hours in traffic and why did she not let me know she was going to the park.

I already agree I fvcked up by pulling out last minute but the picture she is trying to paint with her thread is really not how it went down..

Doesn't change the fact that you are wicked

Even after a part of the goods have been cut to his required measurement? Did you know it will be difficult to sell?

In business there is loss and profit... to cut down loss can only be determined by how smart or shrewd the person is... anyway, I believe its by yards and if its by yards , then its no loss , u simply take it bk and resell

The complaint actually added curry to make it sweeter. These things happen in business especially distance business. My guys have waybilled huge amount of goods from Lagos to portharcourt but the supposed customer will switch off their phones. They'll wait for days and later pay to bring back the goods.
However, you should not have blocked her. That will create the suspicion that you were never serious abinitio.

You intentionally ignoring this question.

what about the linoleum?

As she won't be able to easily sell it due to the cutting. What happens to the item

Why did she cut the linoleum before payment. Is like you called a "mama alaso" in Oke Arin that you've never met and she proceeds to cut 90k lace materials and send to Motor-park before payment...

The fact that you promised to buy, and bolted at that late hour was really bad! She must have had plans for the money and all. You guys should be careful and think well before stressing sellers mentally and physically.
