You're very heartless, if you're remorseful you'll reimburse her for everything you made her loose, that's how one cow told me travel to the next city just because he wants to patronize me only for him to text me few minutes ago that something came up and he's going to abuja, he did so without remorse, now I've wasted transport fair to and fro, people like you shouldn't be taken seriously, ever.

Its vendors like you that make people behave anyhow to vendors, what's your own in this case. The guy said he was sorry and that something came up and you're using the anger of your own bad deal to talk to him.

He did nothing wrong...he cancelled his order and the criminal woman after seeing the message acted like she dint and still sent it .... thats buying my goods by force... I noticed that its women vendors that do this....I hv experienced it b4 , then the next thing is they will run online to buy sympathy

The girl had already cut the product into the desired shape the buyer wants and he can't say he won't buy. Its not fair. Don't be sentimental.

Don't waste your time explaining. Reading the original thread and the contents of the screenshots, your explanations were very obvious.

How long she stays in traffic doesn't really matter. Some of us skip sleep too to get the damn job done. It's part of business. If you don't want to waybill goods then make it known in your adverts so that customers can come pick up their items. If you don't do interstate deals, also make it obvious.

Is it okay for the seller to feel bad about a bad business deal? Of course!

As the OP done any wrong by canceling an order? No!

Many of us have cancelled Bolt/Uber trips, Jumia orders, etc. Many have gone to shops to promise a seller about making payment, etc. If you decide to incur any cost based on promises or trust, you're simply on your own.

There is no how she wud have cut it to his specifications...that can only happen when it arrives and he gets his fixer... what she did was that he requested for the number of yards and she cut the number of yards needed ...not like she cut it to the rooms specifications...that can't happen until a fixer comes thru to his house and measure

How many times have you cancelled a bolt/Uber ride? Or you’ve never cancelled an order you made on jumia? Have you seen any of those vendors come online to castigate their customers? No, because it is all part of a business running costs.

The seller obviously doesn’t know how to run a business, coming to Nairaland to cry over a cancelled order shows something is wrong. This her single drama might affect her business negatively. As nobody would want to risk being the next trending topic over an unsuccessful purchase.

Just because I said I want to buy something doesn’t mean I MUST BUY. Until the money leaves my account or I receive your item, I still have the right to make whatever decision I deem necessary. It is my money.

No problems at all. This is a very very normal business occurrence. A buyer has the right to change his mind at any point in time and even demand a refund on certain grounds, regardless of whatever costs the seller has incurred.

If you don't have the mind to incur this kind of cost, please stick to pay before delivery.

Pls cut the gentleman some slacks. He had the time to come out and explain his end of the deal, albeit taking responsibility for his misdeeds. I think that's fair enough. We all have our ups and downs, but we don't bring it here to garner up pity and tarnish another man's image. How many successful deals has she closed that she came here to celebrate? It shows a level of business understanding she's on. In business, there are some training fields you have to cross, that you weren't taught of in business school. How you maneuver it depends on your level of risk judgement and assessment. Its not as if he got the goods without paying. The experience should help her shape her business acumen and strategy, instead if coming here to cry over spilt milk. If you're running a business and expect smooth sailing without hitches, you'll never grow, and you'll never know . wink

You forgot to add "In Nigeria".

Why another person injury dey pepper you for body, the guy took it upon himself to explain. In business you don't count your money until its in your hands. That you had a bad bay doesn't mean that you let every feel what you're feeling too.

You don't need to shout or insult to pass messages, it only shows how you carry yourself and your manners.
I've gone through something similar and didn't die. Its painful, but its business. You win some and lose some. Not all business will go accordingly.

Bobo, compensate her joor...even, if it is just her fare.
That will console her, even if she did not go to any park
Re: The Guy Who Blocked A Nairalander After Placing An Order (pics) by OsborneDynamic: 5:07pm On Feb 07, 2022
There is nothing wrong in canceling order. Jumia does pay b4 delivery, and after delivery, if you don't like it, you return it. there is a parable that says "if the farmer refuses to plant corn at the appointed time expected by the birds, should the birds be angry". Just do business politely, and be able to reach out onetime.

OP, while I understand that circumstances are usually bey beyond our control most times, I'll advise you tidy your end before leading a seller to such situations. Right now you have made it difficult for other online and distant buyers to be trusted.

For xcelinteriors, I'm really pained that you have to go through all these at this time. Please don't cut anything for any client that is not ready to make a financial commitment. They should be ready to share in the risks if they are serious about buying.

Your head don knack wall, I know you're used to behaving like a tout but calm the f*ck down! In business, maintaining control is the number one rule of the game. Buyer is not your friend, not your family and yet you're willing to spend money, cut your merchandise and stress with no assurance? Once again, buyer can cancel at any f*cking time, it is allowed, this is why you insist on a damn deposit.....If you don't understand this simple concept....GTFO!

There's nothing like paying for the inconvenience, time, stress or anything...

If the customer chooses to,den he would not forced.. we are all doing business

I can't pay for goods that I wouldn't sell or use,he bought the goods or ordered for someone who didn't pay,and u don't expect him to pay for it... this is just miscommunication, the seller should have called to tell him that she wants to go to the park, and the buyer could have called to cancel the order...

Business deals with profits and loss

This things happen in business

I don buy goods for customers (drinks in cartons) and the customer didn't reply again, if I never buy am or paid,I wouldn't collect it again, but this one I don buy keep for shop, what did I do,I had to display it and hoping someone will buy it... moet rose nectar....

you will observe from the seller ends, the guy insisted on packaging all items and take a picture with it at the pack before sending money which she did not to jeopardize the deal...Everything has second hand value abroad, because it will be neatly used and repackaged like new one, but here in Nigeria, reverse is the case
