Need Some Explanation On This Verse... by Tiiitoo: 10:17pm On Feb 08, 2022
Al-Ahzab Verse 53

"you who believe, do not enter the houses of the Prophet, unless you are permitted for a meal, not (so early as) to wait for its preparation. But when you are invited, go inside. Then, once you have had the meal, just disperse, and (do) not (sit for long) being keen for a chat. This (conduct of yours) hurts the Prophet, but he feels shy of (telling) you (about it), but Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask any thing from them (the blessed wives of the Prophet), ask them from behind a curtain. That is better for the purity of your hearts and their hearts. It is not allowed for you that you hurt Allah’s Messenger, nor that you ever marry his wives after him. Indeed, it would be an enormity in the sight of Allah"

So I was reading the Quran online and I saw this.
I need some explanation on this verse. Where's Antichristian??
Why is Prophet Mohammed so SHY to disperse his subjects; that he needs a revelation from Allah to help him disperse crowds from his ?

Imagine a Warlord is so shy to disperse crowds that he needs Allah's help.

What has this got to do with Salvation or Janna, seriously.

Note: pls disregard that oath I was compelled to sign to post in here.

Why don't you read a whole chapter instead of going to websites where fools spread propaganda to their likes to pick verse here and there.

Are you saying that verse is different from what is obtainable in other Quran? I just need explanation, that's all.

From what I understand, the prophet was too shy to disperse the crowd that had gathered in his place to eat so Allah came to his rescue.

1. Now my question is? Why was the prophet shy?
2. What has this verse got to do with anything?

Thanks.

Have you seen a Muslim attack Christianity the way you people do?

You dread reading, hence you remain ignorant and continue being fed. There is YouTube there, thousands of videos are about explaining the Islamic belief, you no c am. On the same YouTube , hundreds or thousands of videos were made by Jews and Muslims explainin y the whole of Christianity is man made and idolatry, you no c am.

Even basic information on Christianity, you no know am, instead, you dey do folo folo, copy copy all about.

My advice for you is to learn about Christianity o before death catches up with you.

No go die as a Christian o. No talk say I no know o.

When I say learn, I am not referring to listening to the same motivational speaker who has kept u in this darkness.

Instead, look for an unbiased 3rd party to tell you how things are (black and white)

You should be able to find tons of content all over the Internet.

Learn, read, and don't be led astray.

As the adage of the yoruba goes: the child who has never been to another person's farmland is the one who says my father's land is the biggest.

Muhammad the first Muslim on earth started the attacks on Christians and Jews as been directed by allah. Don't be ignorant and stop lying for allah, always read your Quran and ahadith

Quran 5:51

“Don’t take Jews or Christians for friends. If you do, then Allah will consider you to be one of them.”

Quran 8:12

I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes

Quran 9:5

But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans (Christians and Jews) wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

It was narrated that 'Umar said:
If I live, in sha Allah, I shall certainly expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula.

Sahih (Darussalam) [ Muslim (176] (Darussalam) Musnad Ahmad 215, Book 2, Hadith 132

Ibn Ishaq describes the killing of the Banu Qurayza men as follows:

Then they surrendered, and the apostle confined them in Medina in the quarter of d. al-Harith, a woman of B. al-Najjar. Then the apostle went out to the market of Medina (which is still its market today) and dug trenches in it. Then he sent for them and struck off their heads in those trenches as they were brought out to him in batches. Among them was the enemy of Allah Huyayy b. Akhtab and Ka`b b. Asad their chief. There were 600 or 700 in all, though some put the figure as high as 800 or 900. As they were being taken out in batches to the apostle they asked Ka`b what he thought would be done with them. He replied, "Will you never understand? Don't you see that the summoner never stops and those who are taken away do not return? By Allah it is death!" This went on until the apostle made an end of them. Huyayy was brought out wearing a flowered robe in which he had made holes about the size of the finger-tips in every part so that it should not be taken from him as spoil, with his hands bound to his neck by a rope. When he saw the apostle he said, "By God, I do not blame myself for opposing you, but he who forsakes God will be forsaken." Then he went to the men and said, "God's command is right. A book and a decree, and massacre have been written against the Sons of Israel." Then he sat down and his head was struck off.

Let me give you the real reason which also expose how muhammad just revealed Quranic verses to suit his needs:

When those visitors wouldn’t go to their houses and muhammad wanted to consummate his marriage to Zainab the wife of Zayd his adopted son, Muhammad had to reveal the verse to disperse his guests away.

Allah the presumed god of the universe left important things and was helping Muhammad disperse his guest! That was wonderful!

I’m advocatejare, I’ve got no reason to open another account here and pretend to be whom I am not.

Let’s focus on the issue at hand, muhammad was using Allah to deceive people and claim to be receiving revelation.

Instead of Muhammad to have simply dismissed his guests, he had to hide behind the curtains to say that Allah is the one dismissing the guests and not him!

Good enuf expose. I was expecting the Muslims in here to make clarifications on the said verse but they are always on the aggressive defense of the religion, does it mean they can't defend the religion without getting angry.
Not to bash anyone but we should always ask questions on areas not clear and that includes Islam.

Try to read. Yeah, read from an objective source. A source free of sentiment.

Infact, in your case, preferably from an unbiased Christian or jew. As I said before, you will find many of such content on YouTube.

Why should we be ashamed of the Holy Qur'an if anything we're very proud of it and no other religious text can be campared in terms of it's preservation or it's linguistic miracle to mention just a few.

If prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was trying to gain or deceive his followers then he would have collected all the wealth he promised if he stopped preaching the message of worshipping the one true God and he wouldn't have died leaving next to nothing as property.

I pray to Almighty God to guide you to the truth, that's if you're willing to find it.

Be deceiving yourself there. Muhammad was choosing the best of the war booties for himself and also choosing 1/5th of the booties for Allah!

How did Allah get his own share? Muhammad was using it

Muhammad chose the most beautiful woman from the captives of war. Have you read the story of how he chose Safiyya when one of his followers had already chosen her?

Muhammad gave himself 16 special privileges which is majorly to have unlimited access to have sex with women and also to get booty of wars for himself.

So be deceiving yourself there that muhammad did not enrich himself.

First of all, surah al ahzab 53 is an ayah and not a surah, this verse was sent down after it had come to knowledge, one of the Prophet Moh'd's(pbuh) disciples was nursing the idea of marrying one of his wives upon his demise - Allah revealed the verse becuz our Prophet was special to him. Allah (SWT) via this way, established a channel of respect for the Prophet. Allah sent revelation on this minor annoyance; and it demonstrates the great stature of our Prophet and the love that Allah has for him. And you too [ just like the visitors that have over-stayed their welcome] should love and honor your Prophet and make sure that your actions and speech are not discourteous towards him.
however, there can be at least some other significant lessons to learn from this verse;

1. Etiquette for visiting: You should be careful to not cause any inconvenience to the host, you should not enter anyone's home without their say so; even if you visit, it is reasonable enough not to loiter around but should limit the stay to what is required for your purpose.

2. Endorsement of banquets: Holding banquets is sunna of the Prophet according to the verse. It is expected of you to hold banquets for special occasions like; weddings, etc. invite people eat meals.

3. Etiquette for interaction with the oppsite gender, it is expected of you to observe hijab [ or a separating partition] from them when you are going to meet them, though you can communicate with them only when there is a need to, and seeking knowledge from them is allowed.

You jumped into the discussion without not reading where the main issue started from, it shows the level of your ignorant.

I said in my statement that Muhammad the first Muslim on earth started the attacks on Christians and the Jews as been directed by allah and I gave some Quran chapters and verses including the hadith written by muhammad to back this up but rather to refute this assertions, all you want to do is to shift the goal post thereby lying for allah as you're well known for by refering me to 1 samuel chapter 15 vs 3

This is very simple, shey 1 Samuel 15:3 tells Christians and the Jews to hate you Muslims or are your fellow Muslims attacked in 1 Samuel 15:3 very easiest question that deserves an answer. Don't be naive, answer the question and stop disgracing yourself and islam

It doesn't make sense to me... why would Allah; supposedly the all knowing and all powerful send down a verse to his prophet to help him disperse a crowd just because his prophet is too shy to disperse them himself?

Does this not sound too mundane for a supposedly all powerful, all wise and all-knowing Allah?

Sura 9:56-57
And they swear by Allah that they are from among you while they are not from among you; but they are a people who are afraid.

If they could find a refuge or some caves or any place to enter [and hide], they would turn to it while they run heedlessly.

If Islam was a religion of peace, why were unbelievers scared that they had to pretend to be muslims, now remember this was the early muslim community. Why were people scared that they were gonna get killed. (Were the unbelievers islamophobes then?). The only way they felt safe was to pretend to be muslims. Haba!

Your problem is you are cherry picking Quranic verses to suit yourselve. Why not read the whole surah instead cherry picking verses.

It was clear the Muslims were the ones being attacked. Muslims were only defending themselves. According to the verse you cherry picked if the disbeleivers didn't fight Muslims then there is no authority for Muslims to fight.

Quran 4:89

"Except for those who take refuge with a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty or those who come to you, their hearts strained at [the prospect of] fighting you or fighting their own people. And if Allah had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not made for you a cause [for fighting] against them."
(QS. An-Nisaa 4: Verse 90)

"You will find others who wish to obtain security from you and [to] obtain security from their people. Every time they are returned to [the influence of] disbelief, they fall back into it. So if they do not withdraw from you or offer you peace or restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you overtake them. And those - We have made for you against them a clear authorization."
