keshi was just fortunate as a coach during his time with the super eagles and we all know how it ended when he ran out luck which resulted to not qualifying for back to back afcon

The only potent strikers he took to the competition of which latter was forced on him was emenike and Osaze
Keshi was a Big fraud. I remember one game (was it against Sudan??) He couldn’t win made fans troop into the pitch, only for the officials to call for security backup.
They wanted to lynch him. Seriously

Despite our poor outing (not poor by my standards), Nigeria will move to 3rd in Africa (to be released tomorrow) only behind Africa champions Senegal and Morocco. Here's how the teams will line up
Senegal - 18th
Morocco - 25th
Nigeria - 32nd
Egypt - 34th
Tunisia - 36th
Cameroon - 38th
Algeria - 43rd
Mali - 48th
CIV - 51st
B/Faso - 56th
Ghana - 61st
Zuchyblinks what do you say about gen gen pressing moving us to third?

I think we need to conduct a thorough investigation on the possibility of Alloy Agu being in possession of Pinnick's segss tape.

I applaud the inclusion of Amuneke into the Technical Crew, and this looks like a team that could do great things

Please, can anyone enlighten me on Yobo's specific task in the Crew? Let me know how to spread the accolades if at all, what is the role of a 3rd assistant in the Technical Crew?

All in all, I am very happy that there is not one pale person in the Nigerian Technical Crew. There is no reason why the most populous black nation, with illustrious ex-players like ours, should be hiring flour-colored vulcanizers and panel beaters under the guise of coaches.

Once again, NFF should look into the Alloy Agu situation; if this home-based man cannot scout decent home-based goalies for the team, then, Pinnick should call up foreign-based Carl Ikeme, perhaps, he will have a few foreign-based goalies he can recommend.

I remember that match, that was the only reason south Africa qualified ahead of us. We lost to Congo, Sudan and S/Africa

The current AFCON Golden boot winner plays in the same league as Ighalo the only difference Ighalo has scored more goals than Aboubakar. Food for thought to the objective.

Sadiq is an embarrassment to the SE and cannot even clean Ighalo boots. He is tall without aerial be domination has no Physicality and keeps fallling be down for no apparent reason, always diving .

Osimhen is faster than Ighalo that's all NOTHING else is he clearly better than Ighalo at. When it comes to Physicality and hold up play as well as technical play Ighalo is superior.

Dessers is not on Ighalo level, 17 games and 4 goals in the Eredivisie this season is not outstanding. Awoniyi is just starting not better than Ighalo, Onuachu is a good proposition but he is not better than Ighalo.

There is no Favouritism for Ighalo rather unjustified discrimination.

Ighalo is not more technical than Osimhen in any way. The fact that you used superior brought a lot of questions to my mind.

I am quoting this post to deliver the gullible from bogus assertions.

This may come as a surprise to many that the only aspect of the game that Osimhen is yet to assert himself over Ighalo is in his contributions to defense. Rohr knows this. The comparison doesn't mean Osimhen's contributions to defense is poor ( Please take note ).

Mr Komekn, can you kindly mention the techniques in football that Ighalo does better than Osimhen.

Keshi was a fraud and they wanted to lynch him?...Nigeria fans are not miscreants no matter the outcome of any match. We lost to Angola and missed World cup but fans kept their cool....we needed a draw against Tunisia to qualify for WC but an own goal ended it,nothing happened...we needed to beat Zambia to qualify for Afcon 86 but failed, fans reacted positively.

Stephen Keshi was not a fraud...how can a coach that qualified tiny Togo to world cup against all odds be a fraud....a coach that managed three national teams,Togo,Mali and Nigeria with Afcon trophy.

Victor Osimehn should just do the needful and avoid injury and good Balogun is back, possibly we will have Ighalo too cos the match na gidigbo (Bullmastif vs Rotweller),hope to see Etebo in the squad....my major concern is goalkeeping.
Ighalo is doing well in Hilal, they will face Chelsea in FIFA Club World Cup Today.

that’s why he’s called goalkeeper trainer not goalkeeper scout

I expect Eguavoen and his technical crew to tweak his predictable tactical approach from the last AFCON to surprise the Ghanaians.

I wish to see Osimhen, Etebo, Dennis and Ighalo return for the tie while underperformers at AFCON like Chukwueze and Okoye shouldn't be on the starting list. Not expecting too many new faces because the time is really short.

Tweaks and Changes for sure but if we qualify for Qatar or Not, expect major changes to the team.
In fact with Amuneke and Eaguavoen in charge, expect massive over-haul.

Evolution of modern tactics has somewhat reduced the need to have a playmaker.

An effective high press can create far more chances than a single AM would.
The SE midfield lacks a genuine CM/CAM who can dictate the play with intelligent passing , positioning and movement.
We have a fair number of good dribblers already.

We have one but continuously prefer pairing him with Ndidi as a double pivot instead of playing him where he is most effective.

sir what are you afraid of how do we knew of a good goalkeeper without mistakes,

what had Alloy been teaching them in camp that they still make such mistakes, or you are wait for Adeleye to come and makes one of such mistakes, before you ask what Alloy had been doing

To those without eyes they think they can see but only darkness and unfortunately they think that everyone else has no eyes like them.

There is no other second tier in the whole of Europe that players move to top leagues as much as the Championship.

The EPL is the best most competitive league in world, that being the case , we can make an informed projection to say the Championship is better than leagues rated 8 and above ❓

Napoli has a top Midfielder on loan from a Champion side ,in the name of Anguissa.

Currently Spence 21 year old left back for Nottingham is wanted by the creme de la crème of Europe top clubs. So also is his team mate Johnson .

But of course to the blind it's an Ogbomosho akpa - Akpro league. The same league that our best Midfielder IMO was not able to have dominance with Stoke City.

Below a clip of Spence making Arsenal's Martinelli look ordinary, the same way this Championship club flogged Leicester city 4-1.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51t9uRSQrPI
Are Spence and Anguissa Nigerian? BTW both players have the quality than other bigger clubs want that's why they're after them. The question is how is your Ovie doing? What's his overall contribution this season so far?
I think you should take a break from here or just stick to reading comments

We would beat Ghana with the same players from AFCON. All that matters is tactics. Ghana will not integrate all the new players intended quickly before that game. We are better structured. If we are lucky we get an early goal and revert to counterattack. If the Ghanaian side isn't fighting hard enough, we can come out to play and dominate them. It is all tactics.

Every player has to be on their "A" game. I'm also worried about Osimhen he has been the darling boy but sometimes he can be so aggressive in the big game and pick up a redcard. I really fear this negative thought. But hopefully, he realizes he doesn't have to be involved with every play but just be clinical on that day. If you get one chance bury it. If you get two chances do the needful. I doubt that the new European-African coach of Ghana understands the nitty-gritty of African football. Yeah he coached a Reading side that used to play rough and hard back then, but how quickly he will be able to achieve that pattern with Ghana will be a huge deal

If Ghana come to play football, we will beat them hands down like kids.

But if them come to fight, to kill, and to destroy, as I expect them to, na there wahala go dey Oooh. They will bully our ajebo Super Eagles with ruggedity.

These present set nor sabi fight and bleed.

But I hope all that changes when we face.

I just watched Derby County managed by Wayne Rooney have just beaten Hull City 3-1.

What's interesting is the MOTM went to a 19 year old winger who scored , was simply electric and his name Festy Ebosele, was wanted by Everton but Rooney said capital NO.

He has been very good for Derby no surprise EPL clubs are looking at him.

He is of Nigerian origin although born in lreland.

As far as na Edo born, forget, he go play for Naija.

we have that in aribo just that he has been deployed so deep since making his debut for the team

Be specific.. That was under Rohr.. Aribo didn't play that deep at the AFCON.. just that the lack of a third midfielder made him work harder and reduced his attacking play..But he still had more offensive input than he did while playing in competitive games under Rohr..

The gulf in quality between Al-Hilal and Chelsea is laughable. If every club in the Saudi league is at the level of Hilal, I can understand how Ighalo is stat-padding in that league. Imagine a CB trapping a ball nicely for Lukaku to finish from 5 yards.

While there may be a few exceptions, international football at the top level is not for a player of the quality of that league.

Playing against a decent team that will have most of the possession, Ighalo struggles to assert dominance. He is more of a target man/in-the-box finisher and Chelsea will not allow you play in their box.

International football is not for a player from Saudi league ? Lol
