The country is wired to encourage some sort of madness. You will quickly learn, that mental health disorders are unavoidable for the most part, as long as you live in Nigeria. So many Nigerians have gone through some level of abuse that could lead them to having anxiety, schizophrenia, Attention Deficit Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Multiple Personality Disorder, and even Narcissistic Personality Disorder

What people should speak on is how to manage it and support their loved ones who may have some of these disorders. There are some that can be dealt with using medication and therapy, some others are a little more complicated.

But if you think people with mental health issues should not be in relationships, then, I would suggest you also check yourself, because you may be suffering from some form of mental health issue as well, to come to such a conclusion.

When it's your turn to settle down, please look for one and cleave to. Set Example for others to emulate. It's a different ball game if the mental issue started in marriage and not when such is imported. This is irrespective of Gender!

Pls. don't encourage others to embrace such for the sake of Love, because when the problem starts you will be million miles away.

If you cannot handle the possibility of your partner having a mental health disorder before marriage, I can assure you that if it happens in marriage, you will run away from the marriage.

Imagine your wife has Post Partum Depression, how will you handle it, when you have decided to dedicate your life to avoiding mental health issues, rather than confronting them? What if you have a child that has to deal with anxiety? Will you say nobody should marry that child?
