EPL is not the best league in the world.... it is the european league with the highest rating in Europe... just because someone plays there does not make them better than other players... You can't compare the opportunities someone who was born in England will get in England compared to people born outside England..

If Lookman was better than Simon, Leeds will be after him... samuel kalu just joined Watford does that make him better than simon, onyekuru, olayinka, ejuke

In the past 2 years and presently, Epl isn’t just one of the best leagues in the world, it is the BEST league in the world. You forgot the part that I said “inform” if any of the players you listed can perform at the big 3, they will take precedence over backwater league players. Quality over Quantity. There’s a reason why I didn’t rank lookman ahead of dennis on current form

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) expressed "excitement" and "delight" after former England youth international Ademola Lookman was cleared by Fifa to play for them at senior level.

Football's world governing body, Fifa, approved the 24-year-old's switch from England, for whom he helped win the Under-20 World Cup in 2017.

The Leicester City forward was eligible to play for the Super Eagles through his parents and the clearance means that he could play in the two-legged 2022 World Cup play-off against Ghana next month.

"We are excited about this positive news because it comes as a major boost for the national team," NFF director of communications, Ademola Olajire, told BBC Sport Africa.

"He's now eligible to play for Nigeria starting with next month's matches, but a decision whether to invite him or not is the sole responsibility of the coach.

"Lookman is a great addition to the Super Eagles and after a long wait, we are delighted that he can finally play for us."

Long road

Having represented England at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, Lookman will be looking to play for the West African nation in major tournaments like the Africa Cup of Nations and the Fifa World Cup.

But the process to get him to switch international allegiance began in 2020 when the team secretary Dayo Enebi prepared all the required documents on the NFF's part.

However, the application suffered a long delay due to the player's inability to sort out his Nigerian passport aa well as his failure to provide a written request for a change of association in line with Fifa regulations.

Lookman only completed the paperwork this week which enabled the NFF to file a fast track application for his clearance.

But to show you the error of your ways and maybe you might just learn something, as it's obvious your limited life experience, has not taught you.

I really don't know the validity of this statement supposedly coming from the NFF. If it is, it's shameful open display of crass incompetence or something even more sinister, wilful intended to delay.

The written request is an administrative formality confirmation it will take you 1 minute to type. Giving your express wish to change your national team allegiance. Getting your passport is a day job.

A competent national football administrative body. Will simply type it out in a standard format ( you should have this format on file) you email the player to sign and return e- signature should suffice. But even if original are required first class UK is next day recorded and signed it costs £2/3.

The passport talk is just hilarious nonsense. You should know I know a few of our Nigerian origin players. Who have played for Nigeria.

The NFF facilitated they simply went to Nigeria High Commission, Northumberland Ave. London. Sat in the High Commissioner office, and within less than two hours, Nigeria passport was in their hands.

I am really surprised how full and dopey some people are to believe this codswallop. That's if it is really TRUE a statement from the NFF

Do not pretend as if you do not get what the bolded meant.

All this while, Lookman was not ready to switch. Probably holding out to see if he had a chance with the English team. As long as he did not produce that request, NFF could not proceed with the switch.

As soon as he sent the request, it was possible to make the switch.

So you can end your campaign that the NFF were the ones delaying the switch. It was Lookman.

FINITO.

If a player performs in any league that player should be a priority.. not everyone will play in the EPL no matter it's ranking.

He has been playing in the Swedish and Norwegian league for about 10 year's. He then was released i.e. contract not renewed and he goes to relegation bound team in the French League in 2022.

Although he is a DM l find it very strange that in 10 seasons he never scored one goal in the league.

These are not the attributes of a player that one will call outstanding.

Maybe you know something more than the clubs he played for in the lowly Swedish league. Please educate me.

Leave bonke alone

How long did it take Mikel to score a goal for Chelsea ? Even world class mascherano managed only 1 goal for Barca in 203 league games

He wanted to leave malmo for a new challenge and a better league ,stop making it look like malmo let him leave ,dude is one of their most important player

But he plays as a deep lying playmaker in some games right?

He should be allowed to play the role he plays at Rangers. He should be freed up to shoot and score imo. This sacrifice that barely makes the middle have their own chance at goal is stale o.

Since they cannot drop anyone for lookman according to you ,who are they dropping to accommodate Dennis grin
grin

Me i don Taya for Nigerians sha.

We sometimes forget that we are using the best we got at hand for XI, and if a better comes, the better will/should start in no time.

That's how they said Saka will chop bench for Euros. Now Lookman go chop bench? Yet Dennis must start? grin

Right now in SE, its only Ndidi And Ekong that have starters shirts anyday, anytime. The rest can be benched. Lol

For his pinpoint crossing ability, I'll love to see a Lookman start ahead of a not fully fit Chuks. Only Aina i remember, was crossing from the RW at Afcon mostly.

Lookman will add a lot to that RW. Easily reminds of VicMo. But if they want to start him at left, all well and good.

Some peeps are funny here.. Lookman's addition is great news. It adds to the competition for spots.

Chukwueze was piss poor during the AFCON and he’s been underwhelming for SE so he shouldn’t be an automatic starter.

Lookman is a baller through and through and knows how to deliver a cross on a sixpence...

Give me a frontline of Lookman, Osimhen, Dennis...

He plays as a DLP in some games in rangers and even in nigeria. So i am wondering why they said he can't play as a DLP.

In comparison to playing in the WNBA, going to medical school will pay her much better..
It wasn't until the Becky Hammon salary story made news that I bothered to find out how much they pay in the WNBA...The highest paid player there isn't earning up to 300k per season... That's damn poor .. That's why almost all WNBA players play overseas during the off season to earn more cash ..

Meanwhile, there hasn't really been more update on the status of her sisters playing for Nigeria...
Hmm. Just like women's soccer.

I wonder what the story is now about her sisters.
