Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 4:11pm On Feb 14, 2022
You question seems a bit vauge. What exactly do you wan to know? You need some form of evidence of availability of funds to be granted a visa and a SOA can be categorized as such. It's just part of the requirements. As simple as that no body can tell you when it is actually being used

Or maybe I don't understand your query
Naturalobserver:
Good evening everyone and the gurus in the house.

Please can anybody give me useful information on when the statement of account is actually being used before a visa decision is made?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 4:16pm On Feb 14, 2022
Ordering your notes will not expedite the process of evaluation on your application. But you can order your notes to know what stage your application is in. Since you've exceeded the average processing time maybe you should try mailing the MPs. MPs could help persuade IRCC to finalize your application but not a certainty. It's still a more effective approach in comparison to mails and webforms.
Halyshia:
can you please share me the link to order for gcms note?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 4:19pm On Feb 14, 2022
You can send a webform updating them of the occurrence but trust me it'll not affect your application. As schengen countries are not part of the 5 eye countries or whatever they call them. And besides you might have been a minor that period validating why you can't remember the details of the application.
Tilly365:
Good day everyone. I found out that it is necessary to fill in whether you have been denied a visa before to any country. I just realized I was denied a schengen visa about 12 years ago when I was in ss1, secondary school. It was supposed to be for an excursion organized by the school via an agent but we were all(all of us going for the excursion) denied the visa. To be honest, I cannot remember the details citing the reasons for the denial. My question now is, if I declare that I've been denied a visa before, how do I give a reason since I cannot remember. I also cannot find that my old International Passport. Do I leave it out of the application? How do I explain in a way that it does not seem fishy. thanks in anticipation of a response.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Omiinii: 4:21pm On Feb 14, 2022
If it's an ongoing application from what you sent it seem like your application is still at its early stages as they're not even started to access your eligibility and your admisibility to canada.

I received request for an outstanding payment on my application however, After using the link they sent for payment, it wasn’t successful. I’ve used different cards, Nigerian card and foreign one… I’m not sure what other means of payment there is.

Has anyone encountered this before?
Try using a Visa credit card or Visa prepaid card . Alot of ppl seem to have problems with debit cards.

Bankowner:
It's always better to do things that will be beyond your control as soon as possible. Your bank is waiting for approval from the CBN before making the transfer.
You can go to the bank and ask questions or if you know someone high up, they can FastTrack your request. All the best.

All things are working for my good, God will surely show me mercy in Jesus name.

Ketima:
Hello Chizitere,

How long is your application? ASAP, you need to draft an LOE and explain all those your refusals (denials) from A-Z, stating the reason for your refusal.

Also you may need to fill up the imm form properly again, explain the reasons in the box provided, attach with your LOE and send via webform and email. Please do it immediately.

E-FORM A

The E-FORM A is a new development from the Central Bank of Nigeria to replace the old paper based Form A that was previously in use (If you have made school fees payment through the Bank in the past, the Form A was one of the forms you filled and submitted alongside other documents).

The FORM A (either E-based or paper based) is a requisite document for making Foreign payments through the Nigerian Banking System. The form comes with a UNIQUE Reference number that is generated with your application.

So this new development means you do not have to visit the Bank physically to initiate your school fees or other invisible remittance payments(medical bills, PTA/BTA, Subscription payment, foreign consultancy payments e.t.c.) It’s like filling an online form.

STEPS
1. Visit the website tradesystem.gov.ng
2. On successful loading of the website click on Applicant
3. You will see a page to login in with your username and password. Before you can login, down the page, you will see an option for “Register now”. For first time users, you will have to register using your BVN (Biometric Verification Number).

P.S: Your BVN profile must carry an accessible email and phone number which will receive an One Time Password (OTP) to complete your registration. If the email or phone number on your BVN is not accessible, you’ll need to visit the Bank (not necessarily Bank branch) where you enrolled for your BVN to update your phone number and email. One of the document you’ll require may include a court affidavit.

4. You will be required to fill in different information to complete your application. If you’re making payment for schools fees, the following documents in soft copies are required to be uploaded on the portal;
1. Passport Biodata page
2. Undergraduate Certificate(If application is for M.Sc degree school fees payment)
3. Letter of offer of Admission
4. Payment Advise from the institution (stating the bank details of the institution and tuition amount).

5. There are 4 sections to be completed when filling this E-Form A.

Section 1: Applicant Information
Section 2: Trade Services
Section 3: Bank Details (Here you input the Bank details of the school you’re paying to, these details will be on the payment advise sent to you by the school)
Section 4: Attachments (Ensure to upload all the documents listed above, maximum file size per document is 2MB)
Section 5: Preview Form

Some answers to some information requested on the portal under the Trade Services Section of the Application.

a. Is Valid for Forex: Choose Yes
b. Trade Category: Educational Services (For those making school fees payment)
c. Transaction purpose: Postgraduate Studies
d. Tick educational fees

5. Select preferred financial Institution and branch for processing. It is advisable to choose a branch of the Bank closest to you, just in case you need to visit the Bank for follow up with copies of your documents just in case.

6. Preview form and submit.

This process is relatively new, so a lot of Banks are still trying to grasps it, so it’s advisable that once you’ve completed the application online, visit the bank branch that you chose to follow up and ensure that the branch has received and acted on your request.

Also not all bank branches have been profiled on the platform yet, so you may not see the branch closest to you, it’s also understandable.

Upon receipt of your application, the Bank will process based on availability of Forex (Foreign exchange). The Banks receive weekly, a certain amount of allocation of Forex from CBN. So requests are processed on first come first serve basis based on the available Forex. So it is advisable that you initiate your school fees payment at least two weeks before the deadline.

buckyfof:
Hello
Please calm down, you can't recall webforms or email you have sent especially when you've gotten confirmation email or message from them.

Please gather all the files and documents that can show tangible proof that you've been denied before, write a well detailed letter of explanation again and appeal to the visa officer that it was an oversight from you and you wouldn't want that error to determine the outcome of your application.
Send it through webform and email again. Then pray seriously that info sharing has not been concluded on your application.

It's in God's hands now ma'am. I'm rooting for you

That's what they will keep telling you. I'll advice you go to your bank head office. When you get there, please cry if you can, roll on the floor if possible. Or better still request for their customers service line. Before you know it you will be attended to. Which bank are you using? Maybe I can help you with their customers service line.

Your postal code for what?
You're supposed to find contact details of these MPs and mail them. Specifically the ones in your schools district or where your school is located at. You can simply first search for your province then look for the MPs in your particular consistuency (of your DLI)

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by kjsoteria: 5:24pm On Feb 14, 2022
Anon123:
You mean you received a procedural fairness letter. What you got was a chargeback meaning who paid the visa fee didnt pay or the amount bounced back into the account paid from.

How much was outstanding payment?
It’s not a procedural fairness letter. It isn’t a charge back either. It stated I have an outstanding balance of $85 and a link was attached to make payment. (I have a feeling it’s for biometrics because I wasn’t charged for that while submitting my application because I have done a biometrics for a previous trv application in 2020 but I’m wondering if they want me to do another one)

However the payment is not successful even after several trials.

Okay let me make it clear
I applied to study in Canada last year through an agent.
Paid 500$ (CAD),235$ (CAD) for visa and 250,000 naira for State Of Account
Got Letter Of Acceptance from the school..Lambton college in Sarnia,Canada.
I paid 2000$ CAD as deposit for school fees.
Did my biometric 2nd week of April 2021.Since then no satisfactory information from the agent. He kept on telling me he hasnt heard anything from the embassy and concluded its because of covid.Anytime I ask him he kept on saying nothing yet maybe cuz COVID..I dont even have access to any of my account..
It was nothing until December last year I started doubting him when he told me he paid 150$ for GCMS note and with the information I get here i havent seen anything like paying money for GCMS note.To make it worse he was advising me to just apply for UK and started stating all the requirements, that was when I got angry and told him to send me all the money I have given him so far that am no longer interested in pursuing the Canada admission anymore ...
He sent the part school fees I paid ..{$2000 (CAD)} and my passport...I asked him what about the remaining. He told me the remaining money were used accordingly so I just ended the call immediately..I actually went for biometrics so on my own am removing the $235 for visa and the $500 for admission because of the ACCEPTANCE Letter I got from the school...But I still dont think the State Of Account has been used hence the reason for my question..I will be grateful to get useful information...Thanks

Nobody knows but its mostly likely when eligibility starts. Once you submit an application with your bank statement, IRCC goes through the period on the statement. They do not go above or beyond the last date on the statement
