$1.2 billion... Haba Kilode

Unit cost per one is $20,000,000 x 24 = $480,000,000

Training + Logistics + lobbying + building of Facilities, new airstrips and Hangars = $ highest $120,000,000

Total = $ 600,000,000

.

Hmm. Just normal scam. You should factor missiles and spare parts too though

The 24 fighter jets are 20 mln usd each on open market. Its customary for the price to go up by around 50% to cover cost of weapons, spare parts, training and other logistics. That should put it at 30million USD each. We bought this at 50mln USD.

Anyway, its the naija way

Maybe they added cost of munitions. Western munitions are often over priced.
Despite that normal levels of chop chop must happen.
That money much.

You are not a weapons merchant neither are you the manufacturer who was given the specifics to equip the fighter jets with.

Everyone claims to be an expert online when in real life they cannot even disassemble a Glock and assemble it again not to talk about having ever fired a bullet in their lives

God bless Buhari.
During PDP this money would have being shared among thieves.
How many aircraft did PDP buy for their 16 years of corruption.
In Only 8 years Buhari bought More than 60 aircrafts, while PDP with16years bought nothing.
The worst thing that ever happened to this country is allowing PDP to rule this country for 16 years.

You got scammed because you feel you know more than those who acquired it or you think the end manufacturer would not have a paper trail showing the entire transaction process and how much they received if it was demanded for?

Perhaps you think acquiring military hardware is like going to the market to buy Onions.

Manufacturer would never partake in hiking their prices up to their detriment when they most likely would be getting future patronage from others too.

Nobody scammed anybody

All hail President Buhari. Mehn this man doesn't make noise, he just takes people unaware. It's one sign a very disciplined individual. Because with all the negative comments being said about him he has still refused granting interviews to waste his precious time. Instead baba is busy achieving. My mind changed after I experienced the over enhanced quality and comfort of Nigerian railway corporation. I'm sure we will all appreciate this man better once he leaves office. Well except you don't reason tho.

Are you cursed.

Oga defence budget of America's infrastructural rehabilitation of Iraq was inflated, with pentagon suspected of fruad... You are here telling us government to government fruad that exist with the over inflated Chinese rail doesn't exist with these defence contracts

Think again..

Anyways we are all paying back the loan for the procurement through our taxes and tariffs would continue going up, while some rich kids in Abuja race around In fleet of luxury cars

Ogbeni shutttt up and shift.

Nigeria is building and there are various aircraft equipped for very specific roles.

We cannot acquire aircraft just for the fun of it when our major priority now is the fight against insurgency.

Read the OP again. It is meant to take over the fight against insurgency since it's more modern and better equipped for that.

We should get the F-35 because we are joining Ukraine to fight back against Russia abi?

Stop typing if na to build fantastic castles in the air you sabi do without assessing your immediate values and needs

Unit cost , 20 million USD = $ 480m , + extra $120m for logistics , facilities , hangar, training and runways, shouldn't be more than $600m,

Are we buying nuclear powered submarine or fighter jet carrier warships

In January 2021 Israeli and Greece ministers of defence announced plans to establish a wide-ranging $1,68 billion security agreement that include the procurement of 10 M-346 aircraft and the establishment and operation of a flight school for the Hellenic Air Force by Elbit Systems, including provisions for simulators, training and logistic support.[25]

This is unprecedented in the history of Nigeria.

Buhari has done well with equipping our military. We cannot be called giant of Africa without military arsenals.

Now this is more like it.

Past leaders virtually did nothing for our military unlike Buhari has done
They did, they used the money to fund Jonathan election in 2015
