A Ghanaian man has failed in his attempt to take his own life after he shot his wife, one Doris Amoah, aged 21 for denying him sex.

The incident happened in Adansi Nyakumase in the Ashanti Region where the suspect resides.

According to reports, the suspect identified as Charles Soglo, aged 31 shot his wife after she refused him from having sex with her.

It was gathered that after the suspect shot his wife, he shot his hand and lost two finger while trying to take his life.

However, the wife survived and was rushed to one New Edubiase Government Hospital while the suspect has been admitted at the Saint Benito Mini Hospital at Adansi Dompoase receiving treatment and under strict surveillance.

Confirming the incident, District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Yaw Ohene, said Charles Soglo shot his hands and lost two of his fingers and shot his chest. He added that his wife has been transported to the hospital while officers transported the suspect to another hospital.
