I’m a guy who does some heavy work in video editing and probably gaming on after effects and Adobe premiere

So I’m in a budget, and I’m looking to buy an apple MacBook Pro 2012

2.5ghz processing speed
Core I5
250Gb SSD
8gb RAM

Will it be able to cope with heavy work? I’m not working with 4K or anything, I’m working with 1080p footage max

The spec is okay for such... Adobe can even run on 4gb ram comfortably.

Upgrade to a 512gb ssd and you're good to go. You need space to run most adobe files as well as speed to ease your functionality. So, upgrading to a 512gb SSD or 1tb HDD is your best bet.

With that 250 SSD, and the kinda apps/jobs you want run, it's quite poor. Remember that 10% of the SSD needs to be free for caching purposes otherwise the drive will slow down a lot.
