I could put up a DeRozan compilation of this season alone and we'd mistake him for MJ cheesy grin

Stephen A no get shame sha. When he adds Shawn Kemp on the list of people MJ had to play against in his days, you just know desperation has set in. Kemp was nice, but I can bring forward one person who didn't even make the all-star this year and that dude would be better than Kemp talent wise. Dwight Howard in his prime years was a far better basketballer than Kemp, but you wouldn't even hear anyone mention Dwight among the people LeBron had to play against. The gulf in talent between MJ's era and LeBron's era is seismic. And the thing is MJ was not on their level, so no one could stop him. But we can't say that about LeBron. A lot of dudes in LeBron's era are/were on LeBron's level talent wise or at least very close to him. This is not to shade MJ o, but put him in this era and he'd be happy to be a top 10 player in the league.

There is no draft in the past 10 years you are doing that kemp won’t be a top 15 pick. The guy was the most athletic Power forward the game has even seen. I don’t know any power forward that comes close to his level.

In 2002-2003, Michael Last season at the wizards at the age of 40 he averaged 20 PPG.
The average point per game that year was maybe 95 or 96, I don’t even think it’s up to that and michael averaged 20. Tell me 20 players that peaked in the last 6 years you think will average 20 Points Per Game at the age of 40? I am not even going to use the ring argument to shut you up, Just pure body of work.

Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Shaquille O'Neal, Paul Pierce, Tim Duncan, Jason Kidd, Gary Payton, Chris Webber, Ray Allen, Dirk Nowitzki, Vince Carter, Steve Nash were some of the best players that year.

On the bolded, name their names and lets compare their body of work

Who told you they do not mention Dwight among people lebron played against? Just because you just started watching basketball doesn't mean the same for the rest of us. Dwight is the sole reason we never got to witness a kobe and lebron final. We remember.

JJ Berea also gave lebron the work. Go and watch the nba finals in 2011, You can catch the highlights

I like how you jejely ignored the fact that the Wizards missed the playoffs that year, in the crappy East no less. Even that 20ppg, let jerry stackhouse and co gist you how mike would ballhog all day. Carry the h*ll on.

Leave talk, this one no follow. Years past his prime he played in the most competitive era yet in basketball and he dominated and his fingers prove it. The same Eastern conference your MCM needed a super team to flat track bully his way to his first ring?

What exactly are we debating here? Are you guys still chasing the “Ghost of Chicago”? Because the last time I checked your MCM gave up the chase nearly 5 years ago. His goal is now to play with his son Bronny because the GOAT ship has past sailed.

Your MCM doesn’t match the GOAT in IQ, skill level, mentality, dominance and the numbers.. So what exactly are we supposed to debate here?

Stats you say? Which stat? Was he a bum with the Wizards? Man was 40 and averaging 20 points, yet you believe you have debunked something? You better be dunking some L shaped cookies in your milk.

your guy said he won’t be top 15 if he played. That’s what i am rebutting. how do you say a man that averaged 20 ppg when teams were averaging 96 Point per game and this is after taking how many years break from the Nba and you are saying he won’t be top 15.

Based on what?

I know say na blasphemy you wan do but you are actually a funny fellow.

if you can mistake Derozan for MJ this year and he is in the MVP conversation this year, why would you turn around and say the same guy won’t be in the top 10?

MJ retired in 03 and a guy in his 30s modeled his game after him and he is about 30% successful offensively by the way and getting MVP honors, Why would you say the Original won’t be one of the best currently in the game lol? Ah, If you wan banter, Let it make sense please

Absolutely rubbish contest. Nobody deserved to be awarded anything. They couldn't execute even the most basic dunks and worse nobody was creative enough to use any props like they used to do in the past. They need to cancel it for a few years and regroup

It's not hard to know people wey no sabi basketball no matter how them try disguise. Everyone who knows Shawn Kemp knows he was a great player but his indiscipline and weight issues never allowed him reach his true potential. I want to see that forward today that peak Shawn Kemp will not destroy at 6'10 and 280 pounds

Clowns think this era is better cause teams now shoot 40 3's a game instead of the 10 they used to shoot before.

Anyone with critical thinking will ask themselves. How many top 75 players did Jordan face vs How many Lebron had to face. Then also ask how many did Lebron have as teammates at various points vs Jordan. And form an informed opinion

Shior. LeNomad is 36 playing in the weaker West with 3 top 75ers as teammates and is still 4 games under .500. If they made the playoffs this season it will only be because of the new format but yet you have the gall to throw shade. Using your logic LeNomad has been a colossal failure this season because he has more help than Jordan did with the Wizards and has failed at a higher clip

Is LeNomad not hogging the ball and trying to break Kareem's record?

People like J. Howard are the problem of African Americans. They are so selfish, they do not realize their actions are promoting the bad narratives about AA in leadership positions. He has been sulking throughout this season, last week, he got a tech for handling an active ball and today, he punched an assistant coach from Wisconsin.

I hope he takes full responsibility and does not hinge this on anything or anybody else but himself. I am extremely disappointed in this action and it makes me wonder what the kids are learning. I also hope Michigan and the NCAA punish him severely.
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 9:50pm On Feb 20, 2022
I skipped this years dunk contest, because the past 4 or so years have left a very bad taste in my mouth. It always ruins my saturday. Always, without fail. So it does not surprise me to hear this year was worse. Am just glad I didnt witness it.

I dont want shaq or dominique or wade judging the contest. The scores they give is about themselves, not the dunk. Its ends up screwing up the final dunks such thst the best dunker almost never wins. And they should open the competition to street ballers. But NBA wont want to lose some revenue.

Saturday was a disaster for the NBA. Whoever thought including a love show during a basketball All Star Game should be fired. The 3 point contest was underwhelming, so was the skills challenge, the dunk contest needs a break or moved early but I will praise the rookies for making the rising stars game competitive and interesting.

All in all, the NBA should be worried about the ratings from yesterday and the future of the All Star games. Hopefully, the big boys put on a good show tonight. Before I forget, the musical show headlined by DJ Khalid was crap! I hope they get a refund from all those artists.
