It's quite different. It voluntary and a phased strike. It will also not affect academic calendar.

I just pity the nigerian students that think that they've escaped ASUU by moving to UK not knowing that they'll experience Strike too. grincheesygrin.

I won't be surprised if our yeye FG will make a statement like this "The U.k. universities are currently on strike, so it's ok for ours to also go on strike"
Calm down .. it won't last long like that of the slave merchant

In total, 68 universities nationwide are being hit with strike action in the UK over a number of issues including working conditions, pay and pension among others.

It is called reality check.
I doubt if in their hypocrisy they will talk down on the UK since most of them have this warped mentality and inferiority complex that UK is eldorado and white is better

Nigerians, una no dey think at all? Don't you know it is in fact a good advantage for international students if schools were on strike? You don't have have to go to classes. You spend more time working and earning. It doesn't affect your stay in the UK.

Think advantageously!

These strikes are not for the whole University, it would be those that belong to the said Unions and you do not get paid when you strike so go figure

Unfortunately 4 you, The UK is better than Nigeria in all ways of what we call life, U better deal with this .To strike there is a portion of law they must fulfil and not everyone strikes, only the Unions and those that agree with the reasons. This those not mean that the Uni is not in full session. Unlike 9ja where they force you to join the Union like it or not.

You just confirmed your naivety , ignorance and inferiority complex.

Let me educate you sir; there is no such thing like a better society.

If life is hard for you in Nigeria because you were out-competed, life will be hard for you in UK too and trust me, you will still find someone or something to blame for your personal failures wink
In life, the top is not crowded. Be the best anywhere you find yourself, excellence is a universal language.
