Economic sanctions is the only tool left in the tank for the US, the US gov should keep it up, it only drives the sanctioned country towards china which is the number one treat to the US gov financially and globally, look at the US trading partners in the 90s to the early 20’s and look at china right now, china has usurped most of the trading partners the US had all because of sanctions. Nothing scares the US like loosing the dollar as the world currency. The US citizens are not in the mood for war, they are wise now, no president will lie his or her way into war, so forget about a war breaking out between the two countries(Russia and US).
