Russia Declares War On Ukraine, Says It Is To Demilitarize The Country by seunlayi(m): 5:09am On Feb 24, 2022
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia will conduct “a special military operation” to “demilitarize” Ukraine, de facto declaring a war on Ukraine.

In a televized announcement that aired just before 5 a.m. Kyiv time, Putin said that NATO was threatening the existence of Russia and that to protect it, he is sending Russian military into Ukraine.

The declaration comes days after Russia recognized its enclaves in eastern Ukraine’s Luhansk Oblast and Donetsk Oblast as independent states on Feb. 21. Russia has been occupying territories in eastern Ukraine and the peninsula of Crimea since 2014.

Following the “recognition,” the Kremlin-installed leaders of the occupied areas of eastern Ukraine requested that Russia provides military protection from the supposed attack of the Ukrainian army, of which there has been no evidence.

Responding to their address, Putin announced the beginning of the “special military operation.”

Ukraine urges UN ‘to do everything possible to stop the war’

Ukraine’s UN envoy has urged the security council to “stop the war” shortly after Putin announced a special military operation in eastern Ukraine.

“I would like to ask the ambassador of the Russian delegation to say on the record that this very moment your troops do not shell and bomb Ukrainian cities, that your troops do not move in the territory of Ukraine,” he said.

In response, Russia’s UN ambassador said:
“This isn’t called a war this is called as a military operation in the Donbas.”

Biden denounces ‘unprovoked and unjustified’ attack

US President Joe Biden has denounced “unprovoked and unjustified” attack on Ukraine, pledging the world will “hold Russia accountable”.

Biden said Russia alone is responsible for the “catastrophic loss of life and human suffering” to come, adding that he will address the nation on Thursday on ‘consequences’ for Russia.

This could have been averted and Russia is obviously the aggressor.

The game has begun and the war front is Ukraine.

Try to change this type of perception, this is a global issue and it affects you unless you are in Mars. Have you forgotten about the thousands of Nigerians in that country? Also remember that this is not the generation of Alexandria De Great when you have to sail from Europe to hit America grin, the war may get to your village in less than a day.

Modified: I forgot to add petrol that we import, you will soon be prompted to pour crude oil into your engine or you expect PMB to use the anticipated rise to pay subsidy grin

Which world?...when they should have resolved this nonsense by urging the Kyiv regime to implement the Minsk agreement, instead USA spit on it, urging the Kyiv regime to reneged on it for good 8yrs leading to killings of over 14000 ethnic Russians in donbas. Whatever that is the outcome of this crisis is on Ukrainian reign and her Western masters.
