Putin wants NATO out of East Europe using "not one inch to the east" cliché that's not on paper. Baker that orally assented to it was publicly reproved by Bush snr.

Nigeria will in one way or another be affected by the war. For instance we have many of our youths schooling in several universities in Ukraine with low tution, what will be their fate now?

But those students in all these places are not more than Nigerians suffering in their own country.

Look democracy is not a right for every country. Western ideals are not the the only one that will rule the world. A group of other people have a right to think and govern how they want. They have a right to defend their interest. Russia will crush Ukraine's military and if you feel Putin is evil, you can try and liberate Ukrainians and I am sure soviet bombs will dismantle you beyond redemption.

Anything happening in Ukraine will affect Russia. US and NATO troops in Ukraine will be seen as an a security threat to Russia. Russia just wants the west to leave Ukraine for them, the west has been working on removing Russia's influence from the state. Hence what is happening now.
