Indeed it's a crazy world like Lucky Dune sang.
The worst is those who know nothing about it will suffer most.

Every where in the world
People are fighting for freedom
Nobody knows what is right
Nobody knows what is wrong

After World War 2 ,America felt Russia could expand westwards in Europe and enforce its pondering communist ideology. Thus,NATO was given birth to . On its part now,Russia fears the expanding influence of NATO eastwards could jeopardize its sovereignty and sphere of influence.So,it annexed Crimea in 2014. Now,it has recognized two separatist regions of Ukraine ,and is poised to take over the whole country completely.
Putin is behaving very much like Hitler and Saddam Hussein- the two,megalomaniacs,who ,in the end,were destroyed by their hubris.
The UN ,NATO and other nations concerned about sovereignty should attempt to stop Russia from annexing a sovereign nation .
The US was right all along that Russia would invade Ukraine.Its Intel was spot on. Many doubted that - even here on Nairaland.But alas ,around 4 AM Nigerian time,Russian troops entered Ukraine .
As an observer and a student of history,I don't think this will morph into WW 3. What I see is that Russia is trying hard to assert itself as a global power like China and the US, not through diplomatic or economic means,but through military gangsterism. And now,the world must act in concert to stop its forward march.

What i see is this.. The west (NATO) will suffocate Russia economy with scantions and keep supplying Ukraine weapons..and the more the war lingers the more Russia suffers.. This happened when Russia invaded Checyan and Georgia..
