From what I've seen so far(watch real live videos on al Jazeera if you have TV and constant light), Russia's battle skills are very rusty.
Their superiority is only in their airforce and a country with a good air defense system will knock out most of their aircrafts.
The Russians real war experience has been very minimal, and that's already showing in Ukraine.
When their ground forces finally enter Kyiv you'll see the heavy casualties they're going to record.

You can't compare that with NATO forces that are involved in conflicts all over the world and have numerous practical experience.
