Schemerkhiz,
I beg, leave matter.
Dude just dey yarn for yarning sake.
Schemerkhiz:

I wonder the set piece qualities he's taking about, How do you rate Glory Ogbonna as a quality Left Back??

She's not in same class with the likes of Michelle Alozie who's not even originally a full back, she's no where close to Nicole Payne who's still playing college soccer talkless of Patricia George..

The rest can actually give us what the likes of Lucy Bronze and Crystal Dunn do for their teams but Glory Ogbonna can't except she improve more and more...

A modern day fullback need to be one of the quickest player on the pitch it requires a lot of up and down running and Gloryis below average..

If Alozie keeps playing the right back for the Superfalcons and her Clubside probably convert her to a fullback too, I bet you she will be more better because her lapses is on the defensive side of it but going forward she has it....

George and N Payne has been playing as full back and winger for their team which gives them more edge...

Am still trying to understand his point on Glory Ogbonna, on a good day Ogbonna isn't supposed to make the provisional list talkless of the team list for a tournament...

Then why was Glory taking most of the set pieces when they were on the pitch U do know that direct Freekicks are not the only type of set pieces they are right?

Even in terms of those set pieces you're talking about, Patricia George does better..

On a good day if the likes of Ngozi Okobi, Chinaza Uchendu were on the pitch she wouldn't even go close... By the way Tony Payne, Rita Chikwelu are better options

Vicky would be a great catch for Nigeria.
However, Spain will fight Nigeria to the bitter end to make sure she plays for them.
Fantastic talent, though.

It's all left for her to decide who she really wants to play for at the Senior level.....

Dude, is this your response? Seriously?
I am now convinced you don't know a lick about football.
Stick to what you do best - making videos and leave the discussions about football strategy and tactics to those in the know.
Unbelievable!

U say I don't know a lick about football but u also say I should stick to making football videos. So, which one is it

Dude, kindly refer to where I stated you should 'stick to making football videos'?
Again, your lack of thoroughness comes to fore.

Man..this is unnecessary. We all have personal preference and let's respect that.
For me, the only fullback I can vouch for is Okeke, the girl is just good.
Pat has not played that much, Alozie was getting roasted almost every time during the qualifier, If Nicole is that good, Ashleigh won't be playing as our LB. Ogbonna too has her own downside but there is no proof that others will be better than her for the senior team.

This is not about reaping where we didn't show.. She made her intention of playing for Nigeria ever since but we didn't go for her, her father also spoke about it during one his interview that her daughter wants to play for Nigeria until Spain U17 decided to cap her at just 14yrs . She also said she's available to play for the Superfalcons..

She has refused going to Barcelona and Real Madrid after so many offers... Don't know the reasons yet..

I and Sam are in Contact with her so we have no worries for now..

Her Father is Spanish while her Mom is Nigerian
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 11:03pm On Feb 27, 2022
She really wants to play for Nigeria in honour of her Late Mom Joy Félix who died of Brain tumor in 2018 at age 43....

She has two elder siblings, María Elizabeth, Jesús de ella, and a younger sister jimena from her step Mom

One of the reasons you would see the Nigeria flag first on her Instagram page before the Spanish one..

The most favorable draw for the Super Falcons will be a group also containing Burundi, Togo, and Botswana.

If no injury and they're all fit, My 7 defenders for the AWCON would definitely be
1. Onome Ebi
2. Osinachi Ohale
3. Ashleigh Plumptre
4. Michelle Alozie
5. Oluwatosin Demehin or Onyinyechi Zogg or Akudo Esther Ogbonna
6. Patricia George
7. Nicole Payne

How is Chidinma Okeke is easily forgotten? I had expected the girl as future CB for Falcons.

Nicole Payne only need that game time to prove herself... She's a Superb Right Back, and can slot in as left back too, I will pick her ahead of Glory Ogbonna anyday anytime...

if she kon add sweet crossing and freekick specialist to these, na female football TAA she go be o. The coach can also set up some sweet play on her wing that will always lead to goals. Hopefully Ordega makes her run in to be productive by better position for a finished work.

Asin eeh this girl na beast, she's so quick and strong, her speed and confidence is something else, she doesn't lake it at all defensively. she have got the qualities of a Modern day full back. I wonder why Mr B will even rate Glory Ogbonna in same class with her even though she's majorly a Right Back.

She's already 21yrs. She needs game time to really prove herself for the Superfalcons.. A senior at College this year, hopefully next year we would see her go pro (maybe apply for the NWSL College Draft or move to Europe straight)

Having Nicole Payne (21yrs) on the Right Back and Patricia George (25yrs) at Left Back is Something i would love to see, too much overlapping runs and excellent return... Coupled with aggressive defending..

Ogbonna is good too, but a challenge to an attacker approaching Goal is what Nicole dares to offer. I still recall Ogbonna’s mistake vs USA. Maybe she was tired. But I think The position isnt fully Nicole’s yet. Okeke is still there as well.

E remain Rita Chikwelu’s position in the squad. I want to see a much younger lady. She’s really done us well for some time, but its time someone benches her imo.

Ogbonna can play in a 3 woman defence, and Nicole can feature as a wingback which would be sweet. The 3142 would be a good one to test this AWCOn.
