I use the current version of Google messages and I can still see messages over 100 back.
I just installed Google messages and all my messages are now visible, I was using Xiaomi"s messages app.
Thanks.

Thanks. I understand the symbol shows that an app has access to the camera and there are ways of either denying the access or turning of the notification depending on your preference.

As can be seen from the below it's even showing that no permission allowed which is what confuses me the more.

I have no problem with the app having access to my camera since I know what the access is needed for but I want to be able to remove the notification, but as shown in the screenshot I shared earlier, it's not even allowing me as the option to toggle notification is greyed out.

I'm thinking it's either there's some unfinished work with the ROM or there's some other settings I need to tweak to remove the notification.

I am open to learning something new.

This is face unlock feature. It can't be disabled

Or rather, services that enables the unlock feature

root your device if you really need to turn it off, else, it's a system app and the company thinks you shouldn't have that access hence why it's greyed out

Rooting won't disable it on stock miui

From 'quick settings' to disable it, see the attached pics
As it reads "turn off access across devices", dunno if it means your face unlock will not work as access to camera has been denied. No harm in trial, just to enable it back if have to.

For RN10 Pro users, are you experiencing calculator not opening after MIUI 13 upgrade? can't open on my phone or is this a general issue

After the upgrade, my phone trips off intermittently.

I believe its triggered by loud volume, I'm not sure..
This is the 3rd time it's happening in 40 hours.

It also tripped off some minutes after making this post sad

Yes. On redmi note 10 Pro, I've noticed phone tripping off without warning. Four times now.

Apart from that, there are subtle changes that I like.
I thought that's why they always use beta version first.. Why do these bugs still remain

I have been on that ROM since early last week no issues apart from the compatibility issues with Font and Dark Mode, which is understandable.

Do you just continue using your phone immediately an update or do you force restart as much as possible after that update?

You can redownload the ROM and reinstall.

it should be the screen guard interfering with the proximity sensor.

Stick a finger( like you would want to pull the sreen guard your finger) at the top right edge of the screen guard and move the finger (like you are trying to remove dirt from the edge) from the center to the right.

Do this while making the call and the light will come back up.

Hi thanks for your reply.
I have it sorted now. Apparently it was as a result of this feature being turned on.

I almost went mad

He's using stock android as a reference even. When you tell people something, they assume you don't know anything.

Sadly I deleted the file yesterday. Downloading another 3gb+ of file is not what I want to do now.

By the way, do you know how to clear app defaults.

For example, before the update, on Google Sheets, I used to be able to choose to open links using either Chrome or Brainly app.

Now, there's no option for the Brainly app, it just goes straight to Chrome.

Screenshot attached.

Bugs man.

I'm considering moving to Realme as my next device, or Samsung
