I'm asking these few questions to know so as to make best decision & I'd really appreciate your response.

Before my passport expired in Feb 5th 2022, I applied online for a renewal in Jan 3rd 2022 & I captured on Feb 10th 2022 @ NIS Warri office, the NIS Officer told me there's no booklet to issue cos even those who applied 4months ago haven't gotten theirs. That I might not get mine even in the next 6months & I need it urgently.

Questions:
1. Can I reapply for a renewal in another state that booklet to issue?
2. If yes, which state will you recommend (with address Pls)?
3. How long does it take to be issued?
4. If I can't get it immediately can it be sent via courier services after its been processed?
5. How much will 32 pages cost?

You can't reapply till you get that passport because if you do, you will have Double Passports Numbers or better still when you tumbprint it will indicate that you already Have a passport. If it goes through you will HV double passport and when you want to renew your passport, you get into trouble.

My suggestion.
Issuance of Passport duration shouldn't be more than a month and 1week. 3weeks for Appointment to capture and after capturing 2weeks your passport should be ready.
Go to warri and lay a complain at Servicom desk. They will help you.

Just visit any police station, tell you lost your passport and need police report. It cost 500-1k

This is how my DIY experience went at Alausa Passport Office........

I made payment on the 18th of January and my appointment was for 7th of February.

ENROLLMENT:
I started the process at 12.30noon. We were taken to a female officer, who vetted our documents and asked us to write our names on a notebook.
Afterwards, she asked us to wait outside, for capturing.

CAPTURING:
We were called in at about 4.15pm to seat on the queue for capturing. At 6pm, I was captured. Left there at 6.20pm.
I spent approximately 6hrs there
Collection date is on the 8th of March.

Below are documents to go with:
1. Online application form
2. Payment slip
3. Appointment slip
4. State of Origin Certificate (Photocopy and Original)
5. National ID card/NIMC Slip (Photocopy and Original )
6. Age Declaration ( for those born in the 80's) OR Birth Certificate from National Population Census (for those born in the 90's and 20's) - Photocopy and Original.
7. Guarantor's form and Data page of your guarantor. The guarantor's form can be notarized inside the building for N500.
8. Two passport photograph of yourself
9. One passport photograph of your guarantor.
10. Hand-filled form (This can be gotten from the business centre at the VIO building beside Alausa passport office. It is sold for N300). You have to fill it, and attach your 2 passport photograph before taking it inside.

Good morning all, I have an appointment this coming Thursday. But so far I learnt guarantor form was not needed for renewal though I printed it out already. My husband was at ikeja last week to make enquiries so he was told guarantor form not for renewal. I will give update about it after my capturing on Thursday by God's grace

Is anyone having issues booking appointment for alausa location?

I have been trying since morning but keep getting 'Error, alausa ikeja centre is not currently available'.

Also, is there anyone who knows what might happen if one does not utilize a payment for passport by processing and it expires?

What I mean is a family member paid for fresh passport since last year (6th march 2021) but for some personal reasons, has not been able to process. Now, we can't seem to book an appointment as stated above.

Please is there anyone who knows steps to take in this regard to avoid expiration of payment on the 6th march 2022 as stated on the payment slip? What happens after 6th march?

Your help is highly needed and appreciated.

Please how does one go about filling the guarantors forms especially the sections that talks about travelling out,the purpose and the name of the country.
The applicant is not planning to travel this year.

Yes, I did on the 1st. An officer I know there just confirmed that mine is ready. Will be going on sunday to pick it up, apparently they do collection on sundays.

Please, did you pay to Immigration officer or you did the processing yourself and how much does it cost you there.

NB. When you get to the office meet one of the immigration officer there and tell them to fast track it.. When my brother did his own there, he paid 10k extra for express and he got if within 1week after series of no passport available and come back next week palava

They didn't check their system.

The officer I met at the servicom asked to see a copy of my appointment. I told him I don't know what he was referring to (I was trying to be ignorant like I don't know, but I have the printout).

Then he told me to go back to my portal to print my appointment slip, then I went outside and came back with the printout I had.

He then told me to come on my appointment day. I even tried to persuade him, but he said there's nothing he can do.

That aside, if they should collect your file/document, they'll check it too.

I did my capturing in Ikoyi Office on February 15. I saw on my SCREEN after capturing that my collection date is February 18.

Monday 21, I sent a tweet to their official handle saying my collection date is Feb 18 and I will like to know the status before going there so I do not waste my time. They replied on Twitter saying they would get back to me.

I needed the passport ASAP. So by Friday 25th of February, I went to their office and it was ready.

I realized it was printed 2 days after tweeting them (Feb 23). They updated my tweet yesterday (Monday Feb 28) saying i can go and pick up my passport (which I've collected on Friday).


64 Pages - 10 Years - DIY - Collected in 1 week - Paid 70k - Renewal - 2k+ for payment gateway fee

PS: This is my personal experience and you may not get the same outcome if you do the same but DIY is strongly recommended.
