I don’t think that makes sense, I was shocked they rejected a bill to increase the percentage of women seeking political positions in Nigeria. A country where women cannot be heard, it should always be a first step than having a bunch of marounding thieves littered in the chambers

Oga, anybody that want political power should go fight it out. Are there no woman senator or rep already? What law stop women from contesting I don't know why everybody just want to be politically correct the input are not same why do you want same output. How many women are active in politics as career politician compare to men. Someone of these foolish men ruling use all that got to get there including thugery. If you want a seat, go for it. There are no genders in politics. Stop trying to use toto as a leverage to corner office position. You're a human being like the male gender, yet males don't have nothing given to them on a platter, relative to females.

Have some human dignity. The women in the chambers competed against men and other women and came out victorious. That show that women can compete against men in politics and win. Not just in Nigeria, but all over the world.

I just hope the eighty votes in favor all came from women, if not the men should be brought out and neutered! To push a legislation that will impact their lives immeasurably, the Nigerian woman still expects to con their male counterparts into doing it for them! Just like a cheery, flirty prostitute whose attitude turns brisk immediately her money is in her hands, those misguided men that voted for them are not beyond being betrayed by those that’ll occupy those special seats. I read somewhere that one of the ways to promote gender equality is to always listen & reflect. Those qualities are completely alien to the Nigerian woman in a position of authority. Till y’all are ready to stop looking at sex as transactional, pls make do with the 'special seats' in the kitchen. In politics, you’re always welcome to the table when you can bring something of ur own to the table!
