Lots of Africans buy into western propaganda coming from these channels line hook and sinker. You need an African narrative to biuld up an African nationalism. China is where it's today because the greater emphasis on Chinese nationalism by The communist party paid off... Folks need to be told why Russia and Ukraine are fighting by African analysts with special focus on how such conflicts can effect the continent or Nigeria. And yes, you also need to propagate your own propaganda in a way that furthers your own national interest. It's very important. Why do you think that the British government and The America government fund the BBC and the VOA respectively up to this day?
