Hello,

I submitted to the same VFS where biometrics was captured so no transmission fees required. You do have to include the yellow paper you were given during biometrics, 2 copies of signed consent form and 2 copies of biodata page on which you will write your phone no and email address. Hope this helps.

Re-application on New Portal: Dec 13, 2021
(After 14days and no feedback I started sending scattered emails now and then, afterwards I noticed eligibility began.

Then nothing again for one month, so I started sending emails again (now consistently morning and night to IRCC Nairobi, from early Feb for about two weeks).

Feb 25: BVL
Mar 1: PPR for all 4 of them ( 4days after Bvl).

IRCC likes us to disturb them with emails, lol. Sometimes it’s what propels them to look into your application.

I have heard it is possible to apply for a work permit as a visitor while you are in canada. Is this not true?

How do we pay the visa fees since the person wont be present at the visa office to drop the passport.

I also attached the PR card of my husband and me, our utility bill, bank statements, employment letters, payslips and letter from our OBGYN. My mum also had travel history to the US so that may have helped?

Yes, but you must have had a job offer from an emoloyer. Most of the employers here will want to see your work permit before they hire you unless you have an exceptional skill they want to quickly grab

No, it is illegal to work with a ‘tourist visa’ and you could be deported for that but you can apply for a ‘work permit’ if you intend to work in Canada. If you are spouse of a Temporary resident (International Student, foreign worker etc) you can apply for a “spousal open work permit” inside Canada.

You can apply for an “open work permit” in Canada, that is if you are a spouse of an International Student, foreign worker……………

Good morning all,

Those that enquire if they can obtain work permit with a visitor visa while in Canada. They can actually apply for work in canada with visitor visa. The public policy for that has been extended till February 2023. This public policy was approved since 2020 with subsequent extension till February 28 2022 but it has just been extended till February 2023. So my people you can apply for work permit while jn Canada on a visitor status. Which means you can apply for work in canada with your visitor visa.
