More on the abomination of desolation; In Matthew 24 v 15, Jesus was referring to what was revealed to prophet Daniel in Daniel 12 v 11 and Daniel 9 v 27; Daniel 12 v 11; 11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days Daniel 9 v 27; 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven. In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. Simple questions to ask; 1. Is the Holy place where the daily sacrifices be performed by the Jews already constructed? No! 2. Has daily sacrifices taken place? No! Because there’s no holy place constructed yet. 3. Has daily sacrifices been abolished? No! Because point 1 and 2 is yet to happen. Abeg abeg, avoid these false alarmists who by virtue of their passions and emotions paint Jesus to be a liar. Nothing is happening if Matthew 24 v 15 and Daniel 12 v 11 and Daniel 9 v 27 (one and same thing) is yet to happen! Infact Jesus made it clear that those who use wars, earthquakes and disasters as sign of the end times are liars; Read Matthew 24 v 4-8; 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. Just imagine the false alarmists running amok on this platform busy claiming what Jesus said are “beginning of birth pains” to shout Jesus is coming soon. Stark displays of religiosity and thick ignorance. Jesus clearly mentioned, these things are expected to happen AND YOU SHOULD NOT BE ALARMED. THAT IS NOT A SIGN OF THE END TO COME. Don't blame the Russians for saying this. Russia's security is based on keeping its neighbors in line. Russia has a declining population and a very large border. They have no choice.(History also justifies their position) The problem is the same countries also don't want to be Russia's subordinates.( Some of them were part of the Russian empire, and they don't want to go back) The issue is, how do we balance both needs? 10 Likes 1 Share |

OkCornel:As little as I was when my Sunday school teacher pointed out this verse, I couldn't wrap my head around how the gospel will be preached to the whole world. But this verse is making sense because it is possible via the internet. There is even satellite internet now. So, to make it easy...the end is when the whole world is connected to the internet. It is as simple as ABC. When everyone has cheap mobile connected to the internet even in extreme remote areas....then, the world will come to an end. One Russian Rubble is now N3.37 from 4.1 naira. What this implies is that it has lost 17% of its value in only one week. Let's see how it goes when this month ends. If it loses over 50% of its value by month end , then Putin will be in serious impeachment issues 6 Likes |
