Go and do another medicals asap.
But my medicals is still valid please. I’m scared. The eligibility review started last week Friday and I submitted December 2021 but the medicals won’t be expired until May 2022 cc makano FrankRobbn.

So I check my LinkedIn every night (it’s a weird habit, which I don’t know when I developed). Last night I checked it as usual and I saw that someone from the Government of Canada checked my profile. I hope this is good news.

Hi Maypearl,

Nothing to worry about. It is part of their background checks.

I don't think anyone can say if it is positive/negative, but I know that they randomly check applicants' social media accounts. Most times, anonymously, you won't even see that a government official has viewed your LinkedIn profile. That's why applicants should do all necessary social media laundry before submitting their applications. Once an application is submitted, you fall under their radar.
It shows there is an active review on your file, and I wish you that favourable decision and PPR soonest.

It will end in praise!

Good morning, house.
Please, can someone help with new web address of IOM? The one pasted here earlier seems not to be opening?
Secondly, all Q-life slots for March is filled up: what process can someone still secure dates with them in March?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by technix: 4:40am On Mar 07, 2022
Hi,

Your study permit will be processed as if you applied from Nigeria (same processing time). So, even while you are in Canada as a visitor, you can't study until your study permit is approved.

There are exceptions to the above though; please check this in case you fit into one of them (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-215.html)

If you don't fit into the exceptions, I would advise you talk to an academic advisor in your college.

JOSHCANADA:
Hello Gurus in the house

I have a tough question for you guys.

I have a Canada Visitor visa but I am planning to apply for student permit when I get to Canada. I won't have enough time to apply for study permit in Nigeria as my College starts next Month. Is this idea possible?

I can't defer my course as the next available date is September 2023.

You can apply for many postgraduate diploma programs with a 2.2. It can be (approximately) one year or two years.

May 2022 is two months time. There is nothing scary about it. I did my nedicals in August 2021, i know that i will do another one. Why won't you do yours again.

Just prepare your mind that you will do another one.
You need a valid medical report to travel.

Good morning house, please am in a fix, my school (University of New Brunswick) refused me a deferral to May. I have appealed and appealed yet no positive response. Sadly, passport stamped but no updated Letter of Acceptance.

The question now is; Is it possible to get admission for another school to resume May or are all deadlines close?

Can I travel with my January Letter of acceptance?

Please, I need all the help I can get.

Even you get an admission into another College before you travel to Canada , you will need to apply for another Study permit with a new Letter of acceptance. If the program also starts in September 2022 I would advice you defer till that time and get another letter of acceptance all you just need to do is inform IRCC of your new start date.

I did my medicals in August 2021 too. @Teemenzo, does that I will have to do another medical even if IRCC sends PPR request before my medical expires? I'm resuming School September 2022.

If you get ppr and you are travelling maybe 2 to 3 months to expiration, you might not need it.

If you apply for another admission in another school, you will need to also apply for a new study permit again because you are changing your school, I guess you wouldn't want to go through that route again.

The LOA issued to you in the month of January is still valid, and I believe you can travel with it. Have you been taking your online classes? If yes, good for you.
But however, you can also confirm from your school if you can still resume for January session.

Good morning people, I just joined this thread and I am so happy to be here. although I await my admission letter from the 4 schools I applied to, I want to start gathering the documents for my study permit, using an agent is quite expensive these days.
I have a couple of questions I want to ask and I will be glad if I get a prompt response.
1. POF: the estimate of my tuition is 30kCAD, how much does my sponsor needs in his account, and is the money going to stay in the account for the duration of the visa application
2. NSE: I have not written IELTS but I plan to write before this month runs out because I heard about NSE, What is the success rate of NSE?
3. ASSETS: What documents do I need to attach for my sponsor's landed properties? Do I need a valuation report? How do people arrange the land documents without a valuation report?
4. TRAVEL HISTORY: I have no travel history to attach to my application, how do I tackle this section?
5. FAMILY TIES: My sponsor who is my dad got his certificate of incorporation in OCTOBER 2021 although the business has been up and running since 2012 he made me part of the board of directors in the business. Since I will be applying in may is it possible to submit a bank statement of months because the companies account was created in December.

It's a simple issue. Send a mail to your to asking if you can still resume with January session. If not, defer to the next available session, its better than applying to a new school.

My school don't have any online option for their MBA program. As for the January LOA being valid, How sures please? Thanks for your response.....

It seems new applications once submitted goes straight to eligibility review.

Applied for two persons last 2weeks and there are both on eligibility review.
