He is now a RWB and a good cb

Before playing as a RWB for his club was he tested as a cb for the eagles ?

How can someone proove he is better than your current CB when you didn’t play him there at the national team cheesy

I get where you are going with Akpos's exclusion being unfair based on current club form, but the truth is the guy (at least that I've seen so far) doesn't bring anything new that our defenders can't match. Even his fellow German Rohr bench am towards the end of his reign.

Akpos is just there if you ask me.

As for Yobo I no rate like that if we are talking strictly of performances in SE. Taribo was the last above average defender we have had in the national team.

andrewbaba44:
Balogun is not even a yobo self Na Maldini and baresi

It’s well grin

But painful in what regard? It's wasn't like he was dropping MOTM performances in the SE or was axed in favour of certified carpenters.

If true true it's because of not making last afcon he's forming vex then I agree with joebie that he should gerrout.

I told you you no dey watch SE, Balogun was not the key member of the famed 'oyibo' wall that served Nigeria for 5 years in a row through our best world cup qualifiers and the world cup proper to the Afcon qualifiers to a 3rd place Afcon finish with multiple man of the match awards you to compare him with Oboabona besides what is Oboabona's SE accomplishment again?

Papi85:
which fucking better debut are you talking about?

You and your likes na so una Dey judge football. Ndah is 24 and ought to be balling hard in europe now but what is he still doing in the SA league?

With the qualities we hv in our disposal no player plying his trade in Africa and Asia is suppose to make out team let alone sitting on
the bench

If he is good he should make the leap to atleast Belgium or the Dutch league and he should do that fast because he isn’t getting younger
You for kuku buy one club for Europe make him go de ball there now.

Shey person wey no get offer, how he wan go the ball there?

Oya make the Akpoguma come ball for south Africa make Ndah go ball for Europe make we compare performance.

Papi85:
you lie, Europeans and South Americans go for their premium best when inviting players not like us who make excuses just to drop a more deserving player at the expense of a lesser talent

The same reason a below average and redundant nwakali made our afcon team when we hv a young star like alhassan who hv been consistent for the past 3 season right from Sweden to Belgium currently who would hv use the tournament to learn from his older folks in the team and as a learning tool for future engagements in the national team?

Bassey and your ndah who deserve to be in that afcon team? Mk I no talk go akpoguma side
The same way Benzema stayed at home for Oliver Giroud.

We see how they take thier best.

Longneck:
Just 3 or 4 games as a center back

He is a RB

and was clearly called became he can play both positions

Your Darling akpoguma is fighting for space with the likes of ekong, balogun, omeruo and ajayi

And for now he can't offer us more than what these guys can

simple
Awaziem is a CB ....a full blooded one at that grin

At least Ola aina wasn’t better than the available options there then and you can confirm that

I didn’t make noise about akpos missing the afcon

I am just pointing out how some things can be very painful

You want Felix and Toru in the eagles or what ?
He wasn't better than Shehu?

I agree that akpos might not be showing sportsmanship,I am just stating how painful it might be

Longneck saying akpos should go and work hard ,is that not funny ?

Work hard for what exactly ?
He needs to work hard to keep the same level of performance he is showing now and even improve on it.

Chief he featured in 4 solid games which is enough to see what a player is all about but his performances were very average to put it mildly.

How many times did Ebuehi, Zaidu and Aribo play before we saw their qualities?

Even Sadiq Umar with less minutes played was beginning to settle but we should make excuses for Akpos.

andrewbaba44:

I have mentioned my starting 11 several times here and I have put balogun there almost all time ,so that should tell you the type of person I am

I remember also arguing with someone here who said he won’t make Brighton team ,I told the guy balogun will easily start at Brighton and he is better than their CBs ,but reverse was the case ,that alone should tell you I rate him

But saying he is our baresi or Maldini is pure cock and bull story

Now the person that doesn’t watch se here is clear ,because if you do watch our games you won’t ask me what’s oboabona accomplishment

I won’t remind you how oboabona performed at the 2014 World Cup qualifiers under the late keshi ,but I will remind you that he was superb at the defence in our 2013 afcon win ,something balogun was far from at the 2019 afcon

I would have used Kenneth omeruo as an example ,but I have a reason for using an unpopular oboabona grin

Too bad you weren’t watching the eagles during the time of the late keshi

He wasn't in the original list so he can go to Rohr in his hotel and get his answer.

You're asking me if he is supposed to make the list ahead of Akpos? Go and check all ThegoodJoe write up that period regarding him and find out why he was called to the National team for AFCON.

I don't watch both of them at their clubsides so I can't say who should make the list ahead of the other.
