Yes, you can change your institution by sending the new letter of acceptance via webform before the study permit is approved.

But if the permit is approved already, it's better you wait and enrol at your initial institution, then change your institution after enrolment.

If your permit is approved already and you change institution while in Nigeria without planning to enrol at your initial institution, then you need to submit a new study permit application.

Could you kindly explain how soon one can change schools inside Canada after enrollment. Does it have a timeline? Does the student have to be studying for a week, 2 weeks or fir how long. I will appreciate help with this from the gurus.

My tuition fee is $17,593. I have paid $9,288 as tuition deposit. I believe the remaining tuition remains $8000+.

Now, I want to apply with #7 million Naira in my account. Is this amount enough as a self sponsor?

Another question, My birth certificate is missing, I have been using court declaration of age affidavit since 13 years. I want to get declaration from National Population Commission but they are saying I need to wait for 2 weeks. Is it necessary that I submit the one from NPC? Of what use is the NPC declaration of age in the application?

It takes like a week bfr approving the loan…. The loan will be disbursed to your school account few weeks bfr resumption … you can use the loan approval letter to apply for study visa; but I’m yet to meet who they gave visa with Mpower loan �

My school is eligible but I’m scared of taking the loan since repayment is 10yrs … how will I explain to the visa officer that I took a loan and the repayment is 10yrs when I’m still trying to convince them I’ll come back to my country after study….

I believe personal assets and financial status are generic reasons . In your GCMS note the VO will be break it down well well . Have you ordered for order your note Yes/no , if yes you will see something else aside this generic reasons

I was refused base on personal assets and financial status too but my GCMS states that I didn’t explain source of funds and which I did not true true

I have ordered for my GCMS note and it says
Document submitted show some funds seem available but there are concerns over the the source of funds, and if funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that the proposed study would be a reasonable expense.
Weighing the factors I am not satisfied that the applicant will adhere to the terms and condition imposed as a temporary resident.

I'm interested in knowing this pls... Is it possible to change course to a different field of study that is not related to your previous degree eg from MA. Political Science to MSc Digital Marketing course ?

I intend to study Masters in Canada but I heard that studying Masters in Political Science does not guarantee Permanent residency (PR) in the future because Political Science isn't a degree with skills in demand. With Flywire receipt, you can apply for Form A on the CBN's Trade System. Flywire receipt in CAD or USD will serve as your school bill.

Documents to upload for Form A.
1. Admission Letter
2. Flywire receipt.
3. Highest credential (HND/Bsc etc).
4. Passport Bio-data Page.

Ensure you are sure of the bank you are selecting. Some banks do Form A only in USD. If this is the case, choose USD receipt on Flywire, but CAD will give the best rate.

Choice of banks to avoid delay:
Access Bank (2 weeks all currency), Jaiz (4 days USD only), Globus bank (1 week, USD only and BSC, MSc and PhD only)

Getting a prospective supervisor can be a bit challenging but you have to keep trying.
From my little experience I think this cold mail is lengthy.
I think your cgpa is low ( 65%) most schools want at least 70-75%.
If you are not sure of the conversion to percentage, you can convert your cgpa to a 4 point cgpa for the supervisor to have a better grasp of your cgpa at first glance.
More so, you can check for supervisors who specifically want students.
I sent about 10 emails and got 2 favorable response.
Just keep trying.

I come from a developing country where electricity seems to be a luxury that can't get to everyone, most especially, remote communities and these communities have abundant renewable sources( Sun) wasting away. This lack of electricity has brought adverse effects to the community in terms of employment and education. I seek to be that solution my community needs. Your publication on "Smart Cities Begin With You", caught my attention and I will appreciate an opportunity to discuss potential research ideas that align with your area of interest.

Most supervisors would have gotten most of the students they want to supervise for September 2022. So if this year doesn't work out you can start sending mails early for 2023 instead.

Landing gist!!!
I got to the airport around 5.30 on March 9. They allowed my mum, aunt and uncle to enter with me after much persuasion..
As soon as we entered,the agriculture guys decided to check my bag and I payed 2k for declaration and a certificate I was given…

Next stop was British Airways desk. I weighed my stuff and had to do some rearrangements to avoid extra luggage payment. After that I went to the counter for my documents to be checked.
They asked for passport,Arrive can, PCR test, enrollment letter, and letter of acceptance .
Then I showed them the mail I sent to the school and their reply about how enrollment letter isn’t necessary. The lady sha wanted to be dragging with me. I know my rights. Enrollment letter isn’t really their business here and she took me to her boss and that one said I could check in without it..
She gave me a yellow card for immigration. I proceeded to get me boarding passes and off to meet my family.. this was around past 7.
Chilled with them till about 8 because it wasn’t easy for them just standing so I told them to leave and I proceeded to immigration. I was checked. Some men wanted to ask for money I said I didn’t have naira on me anymore.
Then to the boarding gates of British Airways. We were checked in at 9:56pm and boarded the flight at 10:48pm. Took off at exactly 11:26 to London Heathrow ..

Got to Heathrow at 4:40am (UK time). My layover is for 7 hours�. Did the whole serenren of finding my gate for connecting flight and security checks.. Just ask questions if you need any help, they are always available to help. No go lost o. Lol
Settled down finally at 5:52am.. called family and friends and then walked around to get brush and paste because BA said they didn’t have. I settled down again, made lots of calls and went to get breakfast. Relaxed and waited for my flight to Toronto.. didn’t walk around much because I was tired..

And the boarding to Toronto began at 11:06am
The plane took off at 12.30pm. We had a few minutes delay . Food was still trash. British Airways need to do better with their meal plans.
Got to Toronto at 14:40 local time . I did the self declaration and proceeded to custom to declare what I had as food stuff .
Then proceeded to the almighty Border desk
I was asked for my letter of acceptance and tuition receipt. I had only payed deposit but showed them my bank app for the balance of my fees. I got my study permit
Then proceeded to the arrival Covid test cz I was selected. Luckily I had registered for switch health so it was easy..
Waiting presently for my connecting flight to Calgary. I’m so excited because I’ll be seeing my nephew for the first time since he was born 4 years ago and seeing my sister after 5 years.

My class starts in May so I have time to get familiar with the place and spend time with my family.

Good morning, while I'm no expert in this issue and considering the fact that I'm yet to send cold mails myself, I feel this mail is too long without proper emphasis on what you want to bring to the table. You definitely mentioned the skills and knowledge you've but that's in a very generic way. You can dote more on your research interest (how you'd want him/her to mentor your work and a short summary of what your proposed research will be about) bearing in mind that it must align with his/her (potential supervisor) own research interests. You can also try to talk about how one or more of her publications can serve as a building block to your own research work.

Another thing is the fact that for Canada, you'd need to send a large number of mails to get responses. Sometimes, up to 30 or 40.

Most supervisors would have gotten most of the students they want to supervise for September 2022. So if this year doesn't work out you can start sending mails early for 2023 instead.
