Infact, my family is living example of this. My brother did something so painful to my mom one day and my mum was calling my dad to at least man handle him coz he doesn't fear my mum anymore and despite the fact that my dad doesn't discipline him , he still dreads my dad ( u know na as per man wey him be). Could u believe that my dad couldn't even utter a single word to scold the boy and my mum started crying that my bro himself should take a look, that if he become someone in future that my dad will be the first to brag but God forbid if the reverse is the case, he will even deny he is his father.

Imagine that.

Fathers need to play a more active role in the lives of their sons. Most abandon their families for women to do everything, not realizing they are depriving their sons of fatherhood and how to be fundamentally good men.

Afterwards these same deprived sons will undergo male indoctrination in which they will begin to normalize their fathers negligence and call it "being a man", since they are now "men" and need a place in their dysfunctional world where all of them were brought up by negligent men and need to keep it going in their generation too.

A cycle that will only be broken when men decide to be men and not hiding from emotions that they have, and their families. Nigerian women are not in wholesome relationships. Their men are frauds.

So don't be surprised at the type of males on the forum. They are dysfunctional, broken, twisted and don't even know it.

Okay what I’m understanding from this is that since some men don’t show interest in raising kids, then we should just give up on them and blame the moms some more?

I don’t think you’re entirely wrong for saying moms should try to raise kids differently than the generations prior. However I’m always pushed to react when I see anyone leaving it all up to the moms as if we’ve collectively agreed that dads don’t need to be bothered about raising kids rights. That’s where I’m coming from.
