Currently in my room, just rolling on the bed, heavy heat in the room as there is no light. Ontop of that, the neighbours generator just pounding my head heavily as the noise is just too much.

A lot of people are in this situation in Nigeria. How do they sleep also realising that plenty bills to be paid.

Apple fruit just one is now 250 naira, Airflight fare may be going to 120,000 naira per trip soon. Cost of things skyrocketing everyday in naija and salary still remains the same.

How do we sleep? God help us!

Inverter is dead over here, though our solar tried supplying 4kwh.

Gen is off, cause Diesel is pricey

I’m currently in my car enjoying small ac, before returning to the darkness.

Mosquitoes have no love men, and I think they are getting smarter. Don’t even know if mosquitoes have brains, or maybe they are evolving.

When you complain, they call you a wailer, an unpatriotic citizen suffering from inferiority complex especially if you try to compare us with white countries.

When you mention that maybe we get Harvard and MIT grads or the best of the best here, to be leaders, they say they rather local, tested and trusted corrupt politicians. Their trust is directly proportional to the scale of corruption, the more corrupt you are, the more you are trusted.

When you say, okay let’s divide the country or at least have regions sort themselves out, they tell you that this British creation, one not of their own ancestral doing, can never be undone. Never ever ever!

Who are they? Your fellow Nigerians.

Can I even blame them? It’s like the chicken and the egg question, which came first? If the egg came first, then what laid it? If the chicken came first, then how did it come to be?

Leaders or more accurately, rulers here in Naija bastardize the country and leave citizens uneducated, citizens in turn support the corrupt leaders to further impoverish them. Who is to be blamed? The citizens or the rulers?

Anyways, may God be with you bro and help you to rise above the many challenges! It is about time I return to the deep, sigh.

I understand the feeling brother.my major problem now is the noise from my neighbours generator,it is just excruciating,if I be bad person,I for just mix soap and oil pour for inside their generator when them don go work later today. As a neighbour you should have feeling for others, not only you that have generator.put it off after sometime especially in the night to enable others sleep.

He has alot of loyal foot soldiers, they will come and attack you soon,I won't blame them, the dogs will always listen to their masters.Mental slavery is a major problem among Nigerians. The poverty is too much,so who gives them crumbs is cherished by them.

All sides of my pillows are wet and bedsheet. You can now see why our life expectancy is low compared with other African countries. I call someone in Benin Republic he told me his is chilling. My friend is shutting his bakery this Saturday due to the cost of diesel. In all these, I want it to continue and even get worst ,it might be the tonic we will need to restructure or disolve this country.Nigeria is not working and it will never work under this central command structure.

Nigeria atm is like hell fire, no light , no fuel to power generator. The environment has been severely degraded by oil exploration especially the south south, very high inflation, annoying people who keep supporting Buhari because he is from their tribe and their useful “suffersticated” people who still support the government because their son is VP.

Prices of everything has increased. Abeg make I ask, Nigerians how are you people surviving ? I think every Nigerian should be given an award, e no easy .

Those your neighbor who put on their gen overnight might not have same thinking as yours.

Don't you think.

Both state and FG seem not to ready to fix this epileptic power supply in the country, some people have never experienced 7 days uninterrupted light before in their whole life..

From the time of its installation, how long did your solar power inverter last before it started developing problems?

You guys that know agent Fashola should call him. Tell him the easily can be fixed electricity has turned to rocket science.

I went to buy the small mobile fan and I was told 5 thousand naira.

Yesterday was pretty hot at work as we couldn’t get enough diesel to run the gen, everyone was sweating like Christmas goat.

Those quoting me that Fashola isn’t current minister of power, that I know quite well, since he’s so knowledgeable about power and electricity that he can boldly say it’s not rocket science then he should advice Abubakar Aliyu on what to do to reverse this unending darkness.

Leaving for work as early as 5am is now very risky as everywhere is so dark and a breeding ground for night marauders and miscreants.

@OP You are talking of sleep.. imagine private business owners and companies that rely on power daily to function. How much is diesel now and how many litres will power their gen. for say 12hrs. No work done translates to no salary for workers at month end.
It's sad how bad things have become under this administration.

Nigerians deserve an award, this is how humans are suppose to be living, that is why foreign embassies are always filled up as many Nigerians want to jakpa.its a pity.
