How much is 1 ton of fine sand in Lagos
10 tons is currently #33,000 and 15 tons is currently #40,000
pricing based on supply around Ibeju-Lekki; Lagasa Quarry.
Regulated price from the Lagos State Sand Suppliers Association.

Hope you find this helpful for your building construction.

Good day all, please i need help with this quotation from my plumber, the quote is for a 3 bedroom external plumbing to the septic tank/soak away as well as installing the tank on the concrete slab of the said building, with two taps outside the house, i am more concerned with the quantity of pipes he quoted and his workmanship, he said its 4 inches pipe that is used for both waste water and (sh!t) and he quoted 33 pieces, attached is the quote, thanks all.

It will be of great importance, if you can send the drawing, especially site layout

I believe the quote is fair enough. Also he's right for 4inch pipes to be used for soil and waste pipes. He need to separate the waste pipes from the soil to avoid return of bad odour through your floor drain and wash hand basin

I am worried too.

It's possible to have such but this here does not have a column directly underneath the chain lintel.

Also hope the supporting cantileved beam is reinforced adequately to support the weight of the other beam resting on it since there is no column support.

Do extend the column to the end of the wall so that the lintel can properly rest on it. ( the column within your blue circle).

Blessedpikin:
Professionals in the house I really need your advice. I’m worried about the circled area around the verandah of my build I told the engineer handling the project I’m not comfortable leaving the design like that hence he should introduce a pillar to support that angle cos of the weight. Please kindly advice

Good evening, I was told its good to use water proof membrane (nylon) after foundation, can this be done on a foundation without German floor,
If this is possible Will they continue laying block on a nylon without joining the foundation block, how will the building be gum to to foundation with this approach pls enlighten me ,

Anywhere you have contact with mother earth its always a good idea to use waterproof if you can afford it, Best practice especially when you are building on or near waterlogged area

I have always wondered too. Since there is no contact between foundation blocks and the continuation blocks because of the nylon. It would appear the building is suspended and not have firm grip on the foundation. This is not actually true. But looking at it in-depth, the columns and beams are what actually hold the building and very little weight goes to the blocks. Which are still rested on the beams anyway..

So the advantage of having the damp proof membrane ( nylon) outweighs the effect of the negligible air gap at that joint.

Hahahahaha, double your hustling in right way ni ooo. You didn't see anything brother. Ogombo is not one of the prime market in that axis. From Ajah 55 kilometers to Epe Dangote T junction, both left and right of that express is the new Lagos. You better go lay siege towards Epe before it's to late. All those mansion's you saw there, some of those guys brought these places over 15 years ago.

The essence of the Damp proof membrane (nylon) is to prevent rising dampness of the building. It is a very good practice.

This is placed on the ground before casting the ground floor slab (German floor)

A building is built in such a way that it's siting/ resting on the foundation. The foundation blocks are not expected to continue beyond the ground instead they are meant to support the blocks that will be placed on them at the superstructure works.

These blocks are laid on the the concrete floor
( german) with motar bed not on the nylon please.

So building is not "gummed" to the foundation but rather sits on the foundation.

Thanks for this explanation but based on what I see in the US, they make the nylon stick out beyond the the edges of the German floor. Even after the building is completed, one could still see and touch the trims of the nylon.

I still find it hard to understand because that German floor is not making contact with anything else except the nylon.

I will post picture of one sticking out later.
Also, I believe op is concerned about the effect on using the same for one of those “cutting corners” buildings without German floor. In those style of building, the foundation blocks always continue with the top ones. Now if you introduce a damp proof nylon in between, obviously the blocks would sit on it because there is no German floor.

The simple answer would be that they are substandard houses, that is why the nylon membrane would not really be useful or would be counterproductive.

Those money are leakages from the Nigeria pulse by corrupted people who has used this money to build mansions or hide thier looted wealth in real estate. When you see such mansions it will make you look as if you are not working hard/smart like other people.

I am currently in need of building materials and accessories vendors for a real estate project. Please refer vendors within Lagos who have the capacity and capability for large projects and who can be very competitive with prices. My DM is open. #realestate #project #building #projects #procurement #purchase #vendors .

You can as well drop your email addresses so I can mail you directly with more details and information. Electricals, building materials, finishings, roofing sheets, POP, cement, etc.

you can as well send an email to procurement_realestate@outlook.com

We will prefer dealing with registered businesses but individuals with track records can as well show interest.
