Atiku seems more serious and desperate. Baba contested in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XTzD8vxHGw |

Same way Buhari was over serious during his campaign. Nigeria needs a competent and vibrant lead now not a desperate senile old man. |

PrimadonnaO:Odili did more than this... I remember clearly. Everywhere he went, the red carpet was rolled out for him, until it was no longer. Tinubu will not get his party's ticket. But in the extreme chance that he does, Tinubu will not win next year's General election. 1 Like |

temmyblaze001: Don't you think it will be really difficult for you to convince intelligent voters not to vote for Tinubu because he's desperate? How can you call a first time presidential aspirant desperate? If you use that word to qualify him how will voters view Atiku who has contested at least 4 times now? The best way to tackle Tinubu is to show the electorate that the doesn't have any solid plan to move the nation forward because he hasn't shown any up till now except talking about the so called life time ambition. Let it be issue based not hatred or insult based. If you continue to criticise him based on sentiment and unfounded hatred and rain insults at him, trust me people will begin to see him as a victim as time goes on and I promise you that the table will turn in his favour. If Tinubu becomes president of Nigeria, it won't be because of his rigorous campaign or political influence but it will be as a result of this unending hate campaign, and personal attacks against his person. When people begin to feel there is a gang up against someione, they will react differently. This happened to Buhari during the 2014 election campaign remember. Spend more time in promoting someone you consider a better alternative rather than pulling Tinubu down because if you spend the next six month doing that without presenting a better alternative, I'm afraid people will still vote for him no matter what you say. 1 Like |

Mynd44: They are not serious. They are kindergarten. June is deadline for party primaries. In a diverse country of high population, Children or teenagers said Presidential aspirants are waiting for August to start meetings with core stakeholders prior to campaign. Is that how it is done? The truth is that they are intimidated by Tinubu and Atiku personalities. They are jittery. They are waiting for Buhari to nominate Presidential aspirants they can match. Biden instead of Political retirement refused to retire to challenge a formidable opponent - Trump. Any young man that comes the way of Trump would have been overrun. That is why Biden came out. In a race of life, the person that takes over a baton from a lion must be a lion, otherwise, the steam would be lost. The fastest starts and ends the relay race of life. Umaru Yaradua taking over from Obasanjo was not a good race. Tinubu is not desperate, he is a great man. He has purpose. Great men have purpose, others have wishes. 1 Like |

airsaylongcome: Nigerian presidential voting system is not like the rubbish outdated system in the USA. She would have won squarely if it was in Nigeria or any other country in this world except in the US. Because she won the popular vote and got 1/3 of the vote in over 2/3 of the state's in the US. Show or point me to any other country in this world where he would have been declared the winner. I'm waiting. |

If it is imperative for Tinubu and Atiku to step aside, the Elders should come together and plead with them. They cannot be embarrassed or harassed out of Politics. Atiku, out of respect for MKO Abiola withdrew from the SDP primary rerun between MKO Abiola, Kingibe and himself. It is an injustice asking him to drop his ambition. Tinubu setup AC and have been supporting aspirants using his platform since 2007, You cannot stop his ambition. Elders can have meetings with them and plead with them. After that Amaechi and Peter Obi can be given the tickets. This is beyond Ohaneze and Chief Adebanjo faction of Afenifere. Other groups in Nigeria must be involved. |
