My Fiancée was posted to Adamawa state for orientation, I mean WTF would NYSC still have an orientation camp in a state sharing the same border with Borno the red Zone!

For orientation, ONLY traveling by air is safe.
Serving there is not advisable

I'm from Yola, Adamawa State. Adamawa and Bauchi are the safest place in the Northeast. You have nothing to worry about. I currently intern at Yola Airport with many Corpers from the southern region. There is relative security compared to other places, food price is moderate, serene environment etc. She will definitely enjoy her stay. Of course the NYSC orientation camp is a bit shabby.

I was posted there around 2016,We had to do orientation camp in taraba to tell u how unsafe it is during that time...mehnn I redeploy back to south ooooo immediately

Don't worry, she will be redeployed after camp. They give automatic redeployment to those that doesn't want to serve in the state.

A lady from Lagos posted to borno to serve but manipulated and redeployed back to Lagos for fear of death. She later die in Lagos collapsed building. Adamawa is a peaceful state and death can happen anywhere.

the word 'safe' is now a relative term in Nigeria but all things been equal Adamawa state is among the most relatively peaceful state in Northern Nigeria as most crime index are low compared to other states and the people are accommodating too...
