guy, in terms of security, Adamawa is the safest in northeast. I served in Adamawa and currently working in Adamawa after my service... but if ur wife like money, make she redeploy oo cause all these NGOs will use money to snatch her away from u.. but Adamawa is good anyways

Adamawa Is very safe, it's just the harsh weather. Some of the MFs here who've been to nowhere except their Poppa's crib and know nothing are just talking trash.

It's all depends on where she will be posted to within Adamawa.

I served in Mubi (second biggest town in Adamawa) in 2009/2010 and it was still a bit ok then but can't guarantee you of any security now.

A friend who was retained as a lecturer was killed in Mubi in 2012 right inside his room.

Also, it's nothing less than two days journey from the South West.

My advice, except you're very sure she will be posted to Yola town, I cannot guarantee you of any security in other local governments.

So sorry about your late friend.

But as for 2010-2014 it was a difficult time in mubi. More than 400 people died. I luckily survived too. But as for now, it's safe.

aside insecurity, honestly adamawa is better than akwa Ibom state.the state akwa Ibom is so annoying and expensive. no light, yes you heard me well, no light in some places they haven't seen light for 4years, the people are ready to extort you, without having any form of remorse, foodstuff is expensive, houses in uyo is extremely high, aside uyo,eket,ikot epene n oron, d other locations are villages. once they see u with nysc cloth, they start giving u different prices, out if frustration I had to voice out to a lady , I told her " see ehn aunty your Governor is supposed to pay me 5k state allawee, but he refused, it's only fed govt 33k am surviving on, so abeg give me normal price ". imagine caring cab for a 15min journey n u r charged 1k , 5 if us paid 5k. omo Akwa Ibom is a no for me. am still regretting it.

I work in Adamawa State as a security personnel, I can boldly tell u that Adamawa State is very safe for NYSC program and other things. You have nothing to worry about. The NYSC camp where they will spend 3weeks is very safe. Security personnel from Army, Police, Civil Defense and Drug Enforcement are there to provide security. Adamawa State is a friendly state compare to Kano, Jigawa etc. Accommodation in Adamawa State is cheap, you can get a nice selfcon in a very nice area where there is light for #60,000 per year. Transportation within the state is #50 per drop with Keke. Food stuff is cheap too.

Adamawa is safe. My younger sister is currently serving there. Her ppa is in yola.she should be passing out in August or so.

There's direct flight from Lagos to yola.so no worries

I served in Adamawa, infact my ppa was a village at the border between Adamawa and taraba, trust me bruh i enjoyed it..
It was peaceful..
Adamawa is cool, just get ready for the sunny experience.

I was posted there in June last year. The only problem there is heat. The other Northerners sef said the place is hotter than other northern states like kaduna, kano etc. After the 3 weeks camp she will get free redeployment. She can choose any state. If the camp director is the same as the one that was there few months ago, you have nothing to worry about with regards to the potential affairs people will litter this thread with. The camp is very strict.

not that camp though. The whole place is too open and well litted 24/7. Once it's 10pm it's impossible to be outside. The camp director is crazy

I'm from Yola, Adamawa State. Adamawa and Bauchi are the safest place in the Northeast. You have nothing to worry about. I currently intern at Yola Airport with many Corpers from the southern region. There is relative security compared to other places, food price is moderate, serene environment etc. She will definitely enjoy her stay. Of course the NYSC orientation camp is a bit shabby.

I can't guarantee total security due to communal clashes in Jos. But there is no report of kidnappings so far.

Lagos is safe from BH and bandits, but they do have their own madness which is enough to migrate away from. I can't say the same of Northern states this days.

I'm from Lagos and currently schooling here in Adamawa State and I can assure you that Adamawa is safe. Asides from the Armageddon Sun, Adamawa State is good and the people are hospitable. Food prices are moderate, transport is cheap compared to where I come from and the lifestyle is simple. Make she carry umbrella, water bottle and sunscreen sha. You have nothing to worry about

If not for the extremely hot weather this period, anyone who comes to yola for any reason always never wants to leave. Thanks for letting me know, it’s safe though the only problem is the heat like everyone said. Going there was too sudden so she had to hit the road and was on transit for 2 days. Got her flight tickets for her return trip so am completely relaxed now.

No State in Nigeria is safe at the moment, na God dey save person, i camped in Adamawa in 2020, all i can say is let her Camp there and redeploy afterwards, Redeployment from there is automatic anyways, and the roads there are terrible, if she can afford flight that will be better instead of Road trip and she should pray too before leaving very very important.
