Wow! An agent told me that it's better to get a Sponsor than using self sponsorship. If your parents are working or they are into business you can transfer the money to them since they can defend it probably with their payslips or their business license.

Both will lead to PR if the course is on the list. However, Msc by research will give you an extra 5points towards your PR application and will also earn you an extra year compared to who did a masters of course work

I applied to Griffith University. I got my admission already so I am done with my GTE stage, I am waiting for them to give me the go ahead to pay my initial tuition fee deposit

They didn't even give me the go ahead to pay, they declined my GTE documents. But my friend who also got an offer there paid 4313 AUD. 3000 AUD was the initial deposit while 1313 was for health insurance.
Note: You don't pay before the admission rather after the admission

I was denied admission in Griffith university because by undergraduate course and work experience didn't match what I wanted to do for MSc. I studied Food science and technology, and have been working as a Medical Rep for the last 5years. I wanted to do Health Services Management for MSc. That's didn't work out.
Possible courses I could do for MSc are only offered as BSc In Griffith university..

I got rejected by University of Canbera one time, I think sometimes last year, but I had to apply to another university (UTAS). I didnt have any problem processing my admission. I have received my coe and health insurance as we speak. Currently applying for my visa.
If you need some more clarification you can send me a mail.
Meanwhile, why was your sponsors account not with sufficient fund considering that he is going to be your sponsor? This could be dangerous if it were to be at visa consideration stage, and on verifying your sponsors claims, and they discover that no sufficient fund. Let's talk
