I never bought into any of such ,i know propaganda when i see one ,ibori wont have staged a coup ,but the hausa fulani military,who think they should always hold onto power.I believe GEJ followed instructions of advisers and could have done better than he did ,he would have united and reach deals with all the people that matter ,in the whole of the south.if things were right,you would not have add a Buhari.

The nigerian military has always been loopsided and not a national army,the british organised it that was since the creation of Nigeria.so it remains that way.The southwest were never part of the GeJ government,all major appointments went to people of the southeast south south and the rst northerners,it was only when he wanted to do the 2nd term ,that he started to experiment and win approval by appointing people that could help him to win the elections.

Olu falae was the presidentail candidate that was supported by all yorubas.Obj never won any election in the southwest.He even begged all the governors in his 2nd term ,and he cheated them expect bola tinubu who never trusted him.He was supported by IBB and abudul salam.He used the power of the military ,not popular democracy.

Igbos hate Awolowo that is a fact,they have been fed lies about him ,and igbos politicans use awolowo to gain politically by trying to tell the people ,he his their enemy.They believe he made them to loose the war ,because of food blockage,changing the currency during the war and 20 pound policy .They lie to them and even have books by igbo authors writing the same lies.so how can they vote awolowo.Igbos are very tribal and clanish,how can they leave alex ekueme and support another person.

Awolowo was the winner of the 1979 election but the courts were used to steal the elections from him ,using richard akinjide who was NPN lawyer.
