cheesy I like this comment. You see na now you/una dey come out in clear terms. Wande coal said/sang “My money and your money no be mate”. There is a difference between your account balance and my own account balance.

There are levels you’ll reach where making 25/30k in a day would look like 2k/3k in your eyes. We all pray to reach that level one day. I honestly don’t expect such “multimillionaires” to be struggling with “minnows” like us doing Uber/bolt. Life is in stages and at this stage at least for myself, the money I make from bolt in Mr Sabinus voice “it is hooge” as it is my 2nd source of income.

While we strive to grow from this level, I’d rather utilize this opportunity bolt offers and use it as a stepping stone into the next level rather than condemn and write it off. As at 2pm today I’ve made 10k which is my daily target thanks to the heavy fuel scarcity in Abuja. Almost all my trips are surges. This 10k be like 100k. That is the level I am currently.

When I was in the university, I envy corp members because as at then they earn 19800 in my mind I was like when I get there I’ll save and be rich. Then I serve finish 19800 no even last pass 3 weeks, then I started praying for a job that pays at least 30k, in my mind that’ll be massive. My first job was 50k, need I say the 50k became worthless after 2-3 months? My next job was triple the previous one yet, the cycle continues.

The summary of this whole epistle is that life is in stages. Appreciate each level you find yourself and strive to move on to the next phase. Don’t write off or look down at the hustle of the next man because you feel you’ve outgrown that stage. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Bolt/Uber is some peoples first step. Let them experience and grow from it.

Bolt/Uber is some people’s first step. Let them experience and grow from it.

No one has ever said bolt is not a stepping stone.

Our message is...
As you're taking Bolt as your 1st step, don't allow it to be your last.
As your take that 1st step, don't get so comfortable on it and forget when to take the next step.

Cos the time you'll realize your self (if you did got carried away), you might be lagging quite far behind.

As you step on it, hasten up to step out of it before it gets late. (especially, young unmarried graduates with ambitions.)

I didn't think you read what I wrote, cos you end up saying the same thing, except for the write off. I never said it was a bad hustle, all I am saying or believe most is saying, don't get caught in the rat race. Today you feel you are making head way, only to sum it up and see you could have done way much better only if u had used your time judiciously.

I have always say it, if you find yourself at the end of the zone and no where to turn too, then key into this hustle and build yourself, but have exit plan to greater things? Is that a bad thing to do? I don't know much about Abj, but a 3 bedroom flat in just a normal place in Lagos can go for 1m. You have maybe 2 kids and you pay maybe 300k for their school fees in a year ( which is not enough for a good school). Family up keep money, car issues... factor all these together and ask yourself if you can effectively spend 2 million in a year absolutely doing this? Thank God you have your 1st hustle and I have my 1st and 2nd hustle, just using ehailing as my 3rd hustle. Do you mind if I ask what your first hustle is about?

I am not beating the hustle down, far from it... but let just be mindful the way we ask people to resign from their work. This decision is a life changing one, it can make and break them forever. People read what we wrote and post here, they kind of apply it in their everyday life. Peace

Yes! Journey to a thousand miles start with a step, but some have been rotating around a fixed cycle for years now, trying to break free. What do you expect them to do? No one is talking about multimillionaire here, but prospect. How long do you think you can do this? What's next? May we not end up doing more hard labour in our old age, all because we tend to find some sought of satisfaction in our younger age. Most old security men you see today, did work... like real hours of Lagos hustle, life only took their valuable time and energy before resigning them to the gate. After their strength can't open gate again, it's either they resign to village, pool, taba and gin. Life is unkind

I was advised to get in touch with Gbovo Transport and Autovest for my HP car deal with some down payment ready in hands. Before I jump in to the plan, I just want to ask if anyone knows anything about these two car dealerships or done HP business with them before?

Hi, Please how did it go with them? Did you get the car?

The impression have to be corrected, yes.
Nobody is saying one can't be making doing with ehailing when it's the last option, again nobody here have said ehailing is not putting food on thier table.
Just that the hype is too much, it was said here that ehailing remains the easiest way to make money.

Exactly.... people will not understand this advice. It look's like someone that wants to sign contract, ask Teribo West how far, he will explain better.

I’m currently at 18k. Trying to make it a round figure before I face house. Tomorrow na office work.

I never knew Uber pays better than bolt till today. All the Uber trips I got, the lowest was 700 naira. These were short trips of less than 10-15mins. Na this same trip bolt go tell son of man to collect 400 with 100 naira bonus. embarassed

My only problem thus far with Uber is that you can’t see where the rider is going to. You just have to dive in raw and hope for the best.

bro that's the only reason I don't use uber frequently (I only use them to get airport trip to go to town to start work proper with bolt cos I stay close to Nnamdi azikiwe) I can't be diving in raw, I need to know ur destination to make my decision weader to embark on the trip or not.

Don't dive in to what will not pay you, there is no crime in asking where dem dey go. A sensible rider will tell you so you both can be on the same page.

The problem is unlike bolt you can see the destination BEFORE you even accept the request. So you can choose to ignore. With Uber you must accept before you even begin ask where the person dey go.
