This is need more think tank or brain storm, the goment is out to destroy people and milk people.

They just frustrate productive people. We have people who can do amazing things, but the demons who are lazy and sad, will not allow things to be easy

DoctorOlasDesk:

That's what they do. My advice to all Southerns not just igbo is to engage in productive enterprises that boycotts Federal agencies, importation etc

You ve spoken my.mind.how cab someone order goods worth 200m but he doesn't know how to pursue his right. What stops you from having a lawyer like femi falana or festus keyamo etc. A simple letter from their office will compel custom to do the needful .you decided to seek help where you can't find it

Don't be surprised that the people you bought the smoked donkey meat are the ones that contacted the customs.

You may be right. Somebody also observed Kangiwa is a border town between Nigeria and Niger Republic. 200,000,000 naira donkey killed and smoked at Kebbi is another thing entirely. Customs may doubt those Kebbi State Min of Agriculture documents if the area is known for illegal importation of smoked donkey meat.

As if they readily obey laws in the country, its it not ran like a family business or who knows who.

The laws are not always sufficient to work in someone's favor, sometimes its needs public attention and even international supervision.

If I'm not mistaken, is donkey meat not banned....?
There was something about this last year on the airwaves for a while.
Can't exactly remember but I think it involved the Kaduna state governor/government.

But anyway, who the hell eats donkey meat.... yuck.... undecided angry

I've bought it and eaten without knowing...
It gets sent to supermarkets and packaged/mixed with actual beef...at a premium price.

Donkey meat! Good Lord! With all the cattle roaming it is donkey they want to sell?

While you follow up the matter, kindly consider instituting an action against them in court. The court will grant you damages (monetary compensation equivalent to the loss) if you have done all that is proper before the seizure.

Stay well.

Growing up my father was a multi millionaire. I resumed work after school hours at his company. He retired managerial level in one of Nigeria's foremost banks

For me, I manage at least three business enterprises with 30 workers with an annual turnover of ten zeros

HELP, NIGERIAN CUSTOMS ZONE B,KADUNA SEIZED MY GOODS UNJUSTLY, DEMANDS ELEVEN MILLION NAIRA AS DUTY.

Please, Some one should help me get justice from Nigerian Customs Fed. Ops Unit Zone B,Kaduna.

This is a new account created so as to give confidentiality.

On 11th March 2022, We bought Smoked Donkey Meat at Kebbi Livestock Market and loaded it after getting all the necessary clearance from the Ministry of Animal Health Kebbi state.

On getting to Kangiwa, we were intercepted by the men of Nigerian Customs Service, they asked us what was inside the Truck, we told them that it was smoked donkey meat, one of them said they needed to see the waybill, we showed it to them, they insisted that we go to their office, we followed them.

On getting there they arrested my Second partner and put him inside the Cell, he has some health challenges that he is managing, they left him inside there from Saturday 12th March Till today Thursday 17th March, no medication and his health is deteriorating.
They presented a document that we are supposed to Pay Eleven Million Naira (11,000,000) as Duty for the goods
They eventually invited the men of National Environmental standards and regulations Enforcement Agency to inspect the goods and which they did and Certified that the goods are fit for human consumption and hence they should be released to us

Fellow good Nigerians, as am writing this, today 20th makes it 10days since those perishable items were seized and detained in their custody, yet they refused to release them.

Am using this medium to call on the Comptroller General Customs, Col. Hamid Ali to intervene so that the damages done to those goods will be ameliorated as this is the investment of hard working Nigerians.

Everyone knows it's donkey meat. It's usually fried and dried I think. It's probably cheaper than beef.

This kind of comment makes me loose hope the more in the fight to salvage this country. Look at how a Nigerian present a pathetic case involving millions of Naira investment that is about going down the drain, instead of concerted efforts from all to rally round him you are here polarising us already with your comment. I won't totally support what you wrote up there but sincerely if Nigerian customs want to frustrate you, they would at all cost and note its not only easterners even westerners dey collect wotowoto but if you are northerner and has little connection and very knowledgeable speaking their language it will almost be an easy ride in this country which shouldn't be so. And OP shld know naija's case is beyond corruption because if there is another word more than corruption then thats what we are facing in this country. Imagine requesting for 11m for goods worth 200m haba now.
