Who get the booking fee?
VAT we know is for govt. But who is the booking fee transfered to?

Bolt shoukd stop all this

I have explained that to d nitigriti before, anybody that doesn't understand and still wants to claim Bolts commission is 25% is fine. But fact is Bolt Commission is 20% of the fare the extra 5% is Booking fee and VAT which is not part of the fare, drivers are just d collectors.

If you are the guy ( NYSC logo somewhere in your car) some last man wanted to toll your car yesterday at the entrance of a company, where almost all the staff came out to defend you that you were actually coming to their company to make some findings , congrats .
But pls !!!
don't do such mistake again before those guys get mad at us.

When I saw the scene, I said this could be any of my people at this thread .

I stopped coming here ever since I stopped uber but mentions and thrills to know what's is happening keep me checking here once a while.

All my life I have known one is meant to compare yourself to higher people but other way here like comparing oneself to labourers, hawkers, etc. Anyway, I don't blame them as I don't know them personally and we have different career targets.

I read on this thread about someone that gave a motivation on data analysis which prompted me to search deeper.

Uche, as you always claim that taxi driving is the best job to happen to graduates, I hope there is career progression.

Now see what we call career progression here => https://www.nairaland.com/7037240/net-salary-data-analyst-scientist#111173121

Bro my prayer is that we don’t stay in the wrong hustle for too long to realize.
I spoke with one of my guys, ( last time we spoke was 6yrs ago) he started yabing me and beginning me not to do a job that will make me go to office physically and be running shifts and jumping trains and buses. He gave me two examples of some uncles that came to Yankee 10yrs before him and still doing two jobs and can’t even attend family functions unless you tell them ahead of time cos they can’t do without their jobs. ( mortgage don gulp money)

Long story shot I don register and started training (Saturday’s and sunday’s) on sunday I was dozing in class not enough sleep cos I was coming from work.

He said what I earn in a month... I.T guys like me earn in a week, working from home no stress.
I could have said nooo bros what I earn in a month Uber driver’s in Lagos can’t earn it in 6months don’t talk down on my hustle.

After health workers Na I.T dey chup money abroad now (after covid 19)

Yeah..Travelling outside the shores of his country has opened new frontiers. His eyes has opened, like when christ healed the blind.
I could remember Ushe, telling them not to go on vacation, not to go on break, blablabla. Telling them all that if they took such decision, who is going to move Lagos.

Just less than 10days ó in Dubai, his eyes don clear. What if God blesses him the more, he travels to Singapore, Paris, Los Angeles....his orientation changes...

That's why you see, when issues are propped up on this forum, Few can only comprehend what is being said, simply because of Hunger&Poverty that has beclouded their reasoning.

Now see the essence of exposure , GeneralZodd don kon dey wine&dine with Arabian girls, they discuss Gold bars, think big... rather than discussion of "gala in the sun" grin tales of uche

LOL, I dont want/advice anyone to VENTURE into ehailing..I do not think it's a good idea for a young man/woman to hussle to get a degree because he wants to be a driver...The STRESS/RISK is quite high....I also do not think it's befitting whether you make 10k everyday or not.
BUT, its should be some kind of a stop gap...You're out of job , you can quickly do ehailing for a while; you're out of sch, waiting for nysc/after nysc before you get a job, you can do uber! You have a job buy you're underpaid, you can quickly to uber as add-on..similar situations like that generally...But venturing, like you wake up in the morning and you decide this is what you want to do for the rest of your life, pls think twice....Shame no go catch you!

That has been my plea and cry and some people hated me for that. Saying I’m driving like ants upandan lagos and telling people not to join the hustle.
You can’t go to school do 4/5 yrs degree and be happy moving Lagos.

This is a reasonable contribution...if this is what u always say, nobody will argue with u, Cos this is true.
This is significantly different from outrightly saying the work is not good, it's not worth it and discouraging people from doing it.

How will it sound if I point out that even guys that collect 500k per event buy camera worth almost N3million, collect and furnish studio with almost 2million, then pay salaries cos they can't do it alone just in the guise of making it seem like that 500k pay per event isn't worth it. How will it look? Or if I say how easy is it to get event every month?

So u see, for me, I feel if u find something that is profitable for u, go ahead and do it, if u like u can show others the way, if not just chop ur cake in peace.
A guy came and posted about Data Analysis, how he learnt it and how it helped him land an overseas job. That I think is someone who wants the best for others, he has told others what to do, and how to do it to enjoy a better life. Not just to come and be talking down on what people are currently doing and castigating it.

Mehn anybody that doesn't have a better alternative to this hussle should never come and talk trash about it cos it has done marvelous things that even the blind can see it . I am not saying it's d best thing anybody can do, or it doesn't have challenges, but my point is that it is profitable.

Until u accept responsibility for the change u desire and fulfil all it demands u will never experience one.
Stop asking God why, work with what you have to fulfil ur own dreams.
Some people don't have dreams or even a plan, all they know is they just want to b rich, It doesn't work that way... yea u may be lucky someone or one opportunity may just change ur life one day but the generality of how these things work is a conscious step and plan to achieve it. Even God will work with what u have, it's not magic or rocket science.

Most car owners don't take this work serious...ones u can feed and pay common bills, u r okay. But u will be complaining and day dreaming about wealth. While others are multiplying their fleet. If u cant drive again, give the car out on rentals or u sell it and put the money into another business u feel is more profitable with less stress. Nobody says u must do Uber.
Some of us here are just NFAs (no future ambition) but want to be rich, while some have business acumen, and others have a plan to work their way out of this and grow their career. Ask yourself; Where do I fall into? What have u achieved with your earnings in the last 12months or 6months or how much have u saved.

Isn't it Ludacris (asin ridiculous, crazy and laughable) that someone saved N4million from a business, and took a vacation and what most people are doing is still undermine that business? Saying "Uche this Ushe dat" "Moving Lagos up and down" "running kitikata" and so f*ckin what, if that's what u need to do to make d millions and change ur life the way u wish. Nobody will dash u money that will make u somebody, even if they put u in ur dream job or business, u still have to work it out. Many guys that get freedom from their trade blow their capital in less than 1yr and some others grow it into generational wealth and build houses in Lagos and villa. What do u think is d difference in these people...it's discipline, hardwork and mentality so whatever u find doing, keep grinding in those trenches, have a plan and work it out. Cos u were not born with a silver spoon in ur mouth. Stop looking at house owners in Chevron and Osapa, and be asking God when and why? u will be upset all the time and probably die of depression. Especially if u don't thave a clear plan to achieve similar wealth. Some of those people didn't achieve it in one generation.
I would have kept quiet but I love u guys and I am allergic to negativity and wrong mentality that's why I finally spoke up. Now these words can hit u in any way; it may be offensive, a gentle reminder, a push, or repulsive. U don't have to like Pearl1910 but take the spirit and d letters of these words, know that freedom isn't cheap, there is no free meal even in freetown. It's never too late for anybody to discover himself and pursue his destiny and don't be cruel to speak bad about the opportunity that gave u that stepping stone.
Peace!!! Have a blessed day.

Only a kid yet to experience life would disagree with this your message. Nobody wants to work hard anymore. Most persons just want to jump from 0 to 100, quick money. Another one is saying “how can you go to school for 4yrs and be driving bolt, shame no dey catch you”. I laugh. cheesy

It is either this thread is made up of kids still eating mama thank you or something is seriously wrong.

To those who get carried away with the amount of BS I read here, biko don’t let anyone shame you for doing your legal hustle or put you under any pressure. Ignore all these pictures of girls dancing in Casablanca, smoking shisha or selling gold blah blah lol. Remember where you come from. If na Uberbolt your level reach. Do it with pride till you move to the next phase.

Another one was on front page yesterday asking why a man would be selling catapult? He never knew the importance of that device till he got tongue lashed yesterday. He said if he sees the man again he go burn all his catapult give am 100k. Someone asked why didn’t he give him the 100k when he met him that day, na there NEPA take light.

In a country where 80% don’t have up to 100k savings in their account, people still have energy to cancel another man’s hustle. A country if not for India recently was the poverty capital of the entire world.

Wahala for who get carried away with all these shenanigans going on here.

Well said bro ...... Nobody is saying you should drive forever. Life is all about progression. You start small and move up . As ur a starting u finds ways to move up. You can start as an uber driver to becoming a partner. Look at Pearl1910 he drives and he is also partner ..........
Myself as an example I started as an uber partner to now loading container of goods ...

Even if you doing a 9 to 5 Job .. Don't sit down there for 30 yrs and help build somebody else dreams. Try and invest in other things. Try and build ur own dream or at least have something to fall back on. Don't be a slave to any man or any company. Start from humble beginnings .......

100% agree with your comment. Start from somewhere. Anywhere you find yourself build from there. Na this cancel cancel culture going on here everyday I no come understand. It is now as if only foo@ls drive bolt.

Change is the only constant thing in life. Nobody wishes to remain on one spot forever, but life can happen to anybody.

Should such a person go kill himself? Of course not. I personally don’t think I’ll hit 1000 rides before I quit because na Covid-19’ still dey hold me for this country. But for the main time let those who still drive for bolt be happy doing it while hoping for the best. We should learn to encourage honest work, if person post say he make 25000 cut him some slack. It is not easy out there/anywhere. Most comments here fit push some gullible minds into depression or worst case crime.

I believe comments like asking office workers to piss on their boss's head and quit. But the reality sets in when they get to the field. One was saying his work environment is toxic. You may not have toxic riders in Abuja but these oloshos here in lagos will make you reconsider the toxicity you want.

All the good good thing wey u dey post for this thread, your reward Na 4 this earth e go start, infact e don start already.
Bless u bro
