This info is encouraging and I think you may be right. Because, I paid on the 28th of February got a capture date of 12th April, but was able to reschedule to 31st March (which is exactly 4 weeks from the date of payment like you said)

Hopefully when I capture my passport will be out 2 weeks from then. Keeping my fingers crossed while I pray it all goes well.

You need to go back and check, 8th February to date is more than 6 weeks nau. Please kindly update me on whether you got it or they are still singing the same song.

I went to get a date for vetting on 21st September, 2021. Was asked to come back on 5th October, 2021

Did Vetting/Capturing on 5th October, 2021

Got a call for collection on 22nd March, 2022

Collected on 24th March, 2022.

Wasn't the friendliest in terms of DIY. When they learnt it was DIY, they became hostile but I kept insisting on Servicom and had my documents complete so they attended to me and told me it'll take sometime for it to be ready. People that paid them could get theirs in 2 weeks or less. A colleague applied through them around November and got hers last year. I thank God I finally got mine.

Don't strees it,the correction will be done before capturing,just go to your chosen capturing center a week before your date.
Go with the form and all other documents or an affidavit Preferably your NIN slip for proper documentation and filling

Good day everyone. I applied for a renewal of my passport sometimes in January. I finally did my capture in IBADAN on the 27TH of January. The collection date stated FEB 02. I have paraded the office of the NIS more than 5 times asking them for the update. All they keep saying is it has not gotten to January turn yet and i need my passport before nextweek thursday. Please is there anyone in ibadan facing this same issue of delay.... Thanks

Anything outside of Lagos,Abuja and Enugu will take you over 3onths to get that passport.
the truth is no one can speed up anything,the minimum time frame is 6 weeks, 4 weeks wait from the day of payment and 2 weeks waiting period before collection,it has been program, don't waste your time in going elsewhere.
Stay put for Lagos or Abuja or Enugu and get your passport in that 6 weeks

Hello house, is it true that when one's NIN number does not reflect on NIC portal during capturing and it gets to exceed that day before sorting out, that it might result into one, having to rebook an appointment again?
Plus the agent guy am working with, was saying that for failing to submit the file that same day, might result into waiting for two weeks before passport release.
Please guys, how true can this information be?

Please o my people, is there anything like production fee usually collected at the passport office.

I went for capturing today at the passport office NIS gwagwalada. First of all, on reaching there I was told an immigration officer has to signify on my form, before it can be attended to.
Secondly, I was ask to pay a compulsory sum of 3,000 (three thousand naira) for production fee, plus an extra cost for assistance.
Please, can someone tell me if that is how things are usually done at the passport center or I have just been estorted?

Yes I did, applied on 2nd of February and captured on 18th.

P.S: You can only capture on your appointment date.

See me jubilating up and down when I got a call today that my passport is ready for pickup as if I did not pay for it � SMH. Just when I had till Monday for the deadline for my passport page submission. The truth is “if you really need an emergency response for your passport pickup within 1 week, be ready to place a heavy bounty. If it’s not urgent, you can take all the time to wait before it gets to your turn. It all boils down to materials availability since they all have a production department and 70% goes to those who knows who while the remainder goes to those who applied under the New year module. This is what I learnt from my case. Good luck to anyone caught up in this same plight. Bless!
