just move on. The process of getting justice would be more expensive than fixing the car. And even if you eventually get justice after protracted court cases, it's their insurance company that would pay you. It might take up to 5 years before the matter is concluded and while that is happening, your car must be deposited with the police as evidence

bro forget it this Nigeria. The bullion van driver did it on purpose, its not that he can't avoid your vehicle. I have seen reckless they are when driving, I don't care. Sorry

You have to make sure you follow the B-van to the bank and report him to the bank manager, He will fix your car for you. This is the same thing that happen to me and I fellow it up and at the end their fixed my car for me.

Do you have insurance? If yes, approach your insurer.
If no? Go and meet the nearest panelbeater and repair your vehicle at your own cost.

It is well possible you unknowingly obstructed the road while you were buying the mask. There is no video evidence of the incident hence they could easily claim you intentionally tried to stop the vehicle in connivance with robbers and turn the table around. If you go to kirikiri, you will discover many people are there because of trivial issues like this or because dem wan prove dat dem stubborn. My brother calm down and repair your car. Don’t mind all those dudes up there telling you to get a lawyer, Nigeria is not as advanced.

This is why u are advised to get Ur vehicle insured. A call to Ur insurance plug would've fixed Ur car in the next couple of days.

What people need to understand is Nigeria is a jungle. Military escorts can bash Ur vehicle and u dare not give them a pursuit lest they shoot at u and Brand u a security threat ; even CBN security escorts can do same. It was a good thing u didn’t give those guys a pursuit.


The omy option u have in this case is to accept Ur loss, repair Ur car, get treated and get Ur vehicle insured to cater for Ur loss in case of future occurrence.

Did you get the plates if they didn't cover it up

There is no way the bullion van would have hit your car if you had pulled over properly. If we are to go by your account here,you implied that you were deliberately hit by the bullion van as you claimed to have properly parked your car off the road. That's highly doubtful though. Like someone rightly pointed out here,most drivers in Nigeria are not just competent enough to be behind the wheel.

I won't advise you not to press charges against those people that hit your car but you must be very sure of your facts. And are you sure you won't be opening a can of worms for yourself if you decide to press charges as majority of Nigerian motorists are usually guilty of one traffic/regulatory offence or another ?

I sympathise with you on the injuries sustained and the damage to your car.

If you have pictures of the bullion van and damage done to your car....you no need to carry Dem go court....go the social media way. NA CBN go respond to you directly trust me.
