CSTRR:

Actually, women are being stopped.

As long as you have the North in Nigeria, the political ambitions of Nigeria women would always remain limited.

Can the north vote for a female president?

An ordinary bill to allow Nigerian women given citizenship to their foreign husbands was denied.

Who is stopping them.....
The last time I checked the constitution gave the women equal right given to the men when it comes to electoral process..
The North refusing to vote for a woman is a thing of choice....
We can say women haven't given voters in that region the reason to give them there vote....
Like I said no one gets to the top without fighting for it....
I also remember there's a state in the north when mama taraba contest people voted for her even thou she didn't win....
If more women can come out and fight like there male counterpart is fighting they will get the seat....
I know there are women from the north that at one time or the other been in the national assembly.....

Yes, I will.
Nigerian men have already failed the Nigerian people. Is anybody in doubt?
What we actually need at this point is to clamour for a woman president. Let's try women. Let's give women a chance.

That's how we were all very excited that a woman was taking over as the vice Chancellor or University of Calabar

Come and see how we are suffering and this woman doesn't care...she just came and increased school fees and every other thing in the university making life even more difficult for the students

So the way I see am I fit no vote woman

Lol, in “Africa” it is a taboo to allow women taje top positions in leadership let alone become VPs or Presidents, according to “Africa, women should be in the kitchen” and it’s this same backward thinking that’s not allowing them move forward.

Look at New Zealand, their Prime Minister since 2017 till present has been a woman, she has worked so hard for these years and New Zealand citizens are thinking of giving her a second term. The members of their parliament are women in majority
The VP of US is a woman, the members of the parliament are women close to 50 of them.
Same for other developed countries too.

Look at Nigeria, out of 360 members you can hardly comfortably count the number of women there.
We are not oyinbos, let them be deceiving themselves with their feminism and female empowerment while rendering their male folks useless. The consequences of their stupidity have now started to bear fruits from their extremely high divorce rates to their low and irreversible birth rates.

Be truthful bro the chances of a woman becoming president is not slim....it doesn't exist in Nigeria not now not ever so between yorubas Igbos and hausas can you imagine people from those tribes voting for a woman?
We know it won't happen they (women) know it won't happen so there's no point even asking

And since the male gender has been given the nation to handle, what has come out of it asides from corruption, embezzlement, famine and insecurity?
See all your governors in the country spending multimillions of naira on GIRLS, buying expensive houses and cars for them, sponsoring their trips to other countries in private Jets. All with the Public funds meant for the development of each states.

Other developed nations are putting women in power, the leader of New Zealand since 2017 has been a woman and there’s has been no complaints about her, the VP of US is a woman. Look at the parliament members in the US, Canada, New Zealand and the rest there are tons of women leading political parties. But here in Nigeria, out of 360 members of the house of rep, how many women were given a sit?

no complain because they pity her

How does that even have anything to do with feminism? High divorce rate? Low irreversible birth rate? Really? Is it here in Africa that we don’t have high divorce rate? What are you even saying.

We are talking about carrying women along in politics rather than “say they belong to the kitchen”.

You are talking as if the men in power in Africa have done anything “special” since they have being in power for decades except you want to include worsened insecurity, embezzlement, fraud, insignificant currency and not to forget how our politicians keep using the public funds to buy expensive houses and cars for GIRLS, hiring private jets to take them abroad for vacations, giving them millions of naira monthly allowance ALL for SEX?

Women like Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and late Prof. Dora Akunyili would perform excellently better than any male president in the Nigeria of today.

For those who will abuse or criticism my point, can you point out a single man who have out-performed those two women in their respective fields.

Birthing a national change doesn't recognize gender

EXACTLY what I was coming here to type ! cheesy

But I first like to read through the first page comments.

of course if a woman does something good it's often exaggerated as it's seen as unusual for her gender

Believe it or not if we judge her by a man's standard she may not seem so saintly

There’s nothing like a man or a woman’s standard.
Do something good for your country, for the people who elected you into power! Whether you are a man or woman in power, work for the people who put you there.

Bihari is a man, does he qualify with the so-called “man’s standard”? What has his tenure brought to the country in a good light?
Tinubu is going in soon, does he also qualify with the “man’s standard”?

Of course. If she's mentally sound, emotionally intelligent and physically capable, why shouldn't I?
Nigerian women and Nigerian men grow up in the same environment, they're no different, so I don't expect any miracle.

The post asks about presidential position. What does that have to do with marriage and sex? These things you mention don't sound like something one (especially a Nigerian) should make a primary objective in choosing a leader. China, Japan and Korea also experience low birth rates without practicing western style rulership in all its forms especially China. This should tell you that people are more concerned with taking charge of every aspect of their lives than they are about fvcking and birthing like rats. Is the economy no more important? Standard of living? Germany did not stop being powerful at the emergence of Angela Merkel. They're still the largest economy in Europe. Every one remembers Margaret Thatcher not for propagating "female empowerment" (which she was criticised for not doing) or "emasculating men", but for her uncompromising politics like many other men in history.

hey am not saying men in power are ok

But they are usually cretisized heavily ,the same can't be said for female leaders as any man whom criticize them is labelled a misogynist , believe it or not men and women in power are treated differently

If a female leader make gender biased laws ,it's seen as a no big deal

But we both know we never hear the end of it if it was done by a man

Not men talking about a gender being controlled by emotions, egos and an itching clitoris

The same men that start crying like little babies when their favourite teams lose a match, the same men that throw tantrums and come here to spew all types of vile things about women, the same men that cannot even stick to one woman and must have multiple sec partners.

Do men have control over their own emotions? The same men that have such high suicide rates, the same men that are most likely to be serial killers, the same men that go about killing their wives because the woman asked them where they were? Those men?

Can men keep their dicks in one place?

If you want to ruin any man, send a woman to him. The only thing that controls most men is their dicks. Such sexually undisciplined creatures, that is why small girls in Abuja are controlling some people's useless fathers, girls that are younger than their own daughters

The last group of people that should be talking about being emotional, having an ego, or any itching privates is a man that is probably walking around with gonorrhea right now

Shut up, please.
