OfoIgbo:What's the low project they've done before..?? What's the company brand names,? Even a minister can be dubious. Osinbanjo was seen taking defending a case brilliantly, he wasn't choose from God knows where. Performance was high and recommded. This Amaechi own, what's d name? What's their history,. Convince us it's not a Money siphoning shaddy contract . Even hi tech company won't give their job to newcomer except it is convinceable enough. |

Personally, I don't fancy the choice of Osinbanjo for 2023. Something about him is not adding up, not because of this report but I have always seen that. I see him as a green snake under a green grass. |

Esseite:The Ministry of Transportation ,ought to present a better proposal or at best throw the contract into open bidding to be advertised on NTA, AIT, TVC and Channels so that any competent company can bid for it. They didn't do the above because they have a vested interest in that company. This is something that any reasonable Nigerian can figure out. |

Most people here are just dunces, no better than those they criticise. Squabbling over what is clearly the 'personalisation' of government, which is a crime but at the expense of governance which in this case is an even bigger crime. Yes, corruption and rent seeking has been prevented but you knowingly let those trains run unattended through bandit country, for perhaps weeks or months unending.... which has cost lives..... No one comes out of this unscathed. Both the Minister and the Vice President should explain why those trains were not secured by other means or services suspended until alternate security service providers found. It appears from this forum that both citizens and government are in agreement that lives just do not matter. Take a cue from Boeing 737 Max debacle of a few years ago. Even though no American life was lost but because it was an American aircraft regulated by the United States, heads did roll and international law suits came aplenty. Here both citizens and government are playing political football with peoples lives. Woe betide them to resume those train services without sorting out this stinking mess of a contract caper. . |

Echoban:What was the alternative available? Keep quiet until the rail was bombed and people kidnapped and killed? Well,President Buhari Immediately signed the contract to the same company after the blast when he learned what happened. So how do you defend that? Stop supporting evil, it doesn't pay! |

AbujaCitiBlog:If a company u brought was rejected since last yr September, what stop u from bring another recognized brand with good track record for approval?? So because they rejected one from lacking merit means u have to abardon and sit down.. u and ur oga are evil.. PMB is clueless and confused. Does he looks like someone not on autopilot? Why do u think the country is collapsing under his watch? What has been the result of the finace for security he has been signing since. Bunch of funny politicians. |

Echoban:You are the one who is very funny. Go and follow the procurement guidelines. This is a company that Bureau of Public Procurement have already cleared. So what else is there? Is Osinbajo more knowledgeable than experts at the Bureau or just being plain silly and playing politics with the lives of people? What exactly was Osinbajos interest if not to carry out the commands of his frog eyed boss Tinubu? Now that there is blood let him come out again and defend his actions to the families who lost their loved ones. Is 3.7 Billion more important than human lives? |

In all honesty, the FEC took the right decision considering the capacity and capabilities of the the said company approved by Anaechi to carry out the project |

pasumaThat should have been raised as well if it was of concerned to himAnd now, well over 6 months after they asked Amaechi to revert with required information regarding the contract, why has he yet to get back? They didn't ask him questions that required him to enrol for another degree before he could answer. |

The railway deal should have included a CCTV surveillance system and other relevant technologies from the start. This scenario may appeal to someone who purchases a car that is missing a battery. |

Echoban:So Osibanjo's choice was to endanger the lives of travelers by not bringing up an alternative to what Amaechi planned. Osibanjo's solution was to indirectly aid in the killing of innocent passengers, because the company had never done a big contract before. Osibanjo still has to show us the commissioner position he took on, before he was brought in as a commissioner by Tinubu. So now you want me to trust Tinubu's judgement? The same man that told us that Buhari was the best thing since sliced bread. What makes you think Tinubu's decisions are not completely warped, following his recommendation that Nigerians should vote for Buhari? |
