The rubbish is filled with lies, so #3.7 billion contract was supposed to be awarded to a company that have a turn over of less than 100 million by Amaechi ministry which suppose to executed from the ministry's budget that might have been approved already by the federal house of assembly and signed by the president, so Osibanjo has the power to give out such fund as a vice President?

If Osinbajo is presiding over the FEC he will singlehandedly approve anything and it stand because he is acting as president.

Why didn't the FEC stand down the train that went to Niger Republic? Is Niger Republic part of Nigeria? The answer is No.

But once the president has approve nobody say a jack.
So you guys saying Osinbajo is not the one to approve that but SEC.

As for you guys saying the company resource is below 3Billion I m disapoint at your ignorance of business.

So if a university is to be painted and it will cost 1billion you guys with a registered company can not organiser a painting company to carry outh the duties.

Unfortunately, the high rate of illiteracy in that region has deprived them of the understanding that the Vice President could not have singlehandedly vetoed the decision of FEC. Reasons why you all need someone like Osinbajo.

It's even laughable to think a surveillance equipment or software can deter any bandit.

The other possibility is, did some people bombed d railway to create a "didn't I tell you" moment?
This same train had broken down so many times with people trekking to the nearest villages and nothing happened. Could this sad event be masterminded for cheap politics or by the contractors for retribution... Nigerians are wicked anyway.

This report was supposed to twist things and implicate PYO. But instead it paints PYO in very good light. It proves one thing - that he isnt a leader who just signs whatever is dropped on his desk without questions.

That BPP has approved a proposal is a very dumb reason for anyone to expect the president to just sign it off without question. Afterall, all the inflated and fraudulent contracts which have come to be traditional occurrences in Nigeria, the BPP also approves them.

I am usually careful around people who talk without restraint and play to the gallery, what Amaechi did during the on-spot assessment of the damage caused by the Attack was very horrible and barbaric. As a public office holder, he needs to outgrow his penchant for vindictive nature. I could recall the same scenario and blame games he deployed during the NPA saga without empirical evidence. Mr President needs to Act and stop this senseless campaign of calumny against his cabinet members for being meticulous and professional.

I smell fraud from Ameachi because the FEC isn't comprises of one person but all the major players, so the power isn't on a single individual to accept or reject a certain proposal whether or you he or she like it, the story is quite the opposite, his presentation and recommendation was rejected by the FRc base on merit and has refuse to represent the proposal since then for obvious reasons

Idiotic and senseless paid post by Amaechi.

The man asked convincing questions and the thief couldn't answer. How in goodness sakes can u ask for a 3.7 billion contract to be given to an unknown firm with less than 100m turnover....not even profit o....turnover!!! That alone should make them question amachi.

And at the time, Osinbajo was the acting President!! He has every right to turn it down!!!

This idiots wants to justify corruption

Lies and misrepresentation.

Amaechi's proposal wasn't rejected just because of the brand (or lack thereof), but mainly due to a conflict of interest and lack of capacity.

So Amaechi wanted to entrust our railway security to a Papa, Mama & Pikin company with neither the capital nor track record for delivering such a critical project. The jackals even wanted the payment upfront shocked

Osibanjo was indeed a good steward of leadership when he was in acting capacity as President in Buhari's absence. His eagle eyes spotted the irregularities when he presided over the FEC meeting and rejected the proposal accordingly.

No wonder Amaechi was so quick to point fingers and pass blame immediately after the incident. If he had done the right thing in the first place and presented a proposal from a reputable & capable company that wouldn't raise red flags of "conflict of interest", could the unfortunate railway tragedy of last Sunday have been averted? Maybe. Just maybe.

Let us soberly reflect, make amends & give reverence to the innocent departed, and Amaechi's handlers should stop playing petty politics with an avoidable national tragedy .

Hmmm! How do we know the papa, mama and pikin company didn't collude with the attackers because of the rejection? Anything is possible in Naija.

You be useless mumu. Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon etc al started small and grow. They showed POC. They didn't just go to DOD for billion of dollars contract. Even US DOD don't award big contracts to unknown or fledgling companies, you start with $10k contract and move up. Secondly, FB, MS, Amazon, Tesla, Apple et al are wrong examples...they didn't start with contracts instead they started with providing innovative solutions to human needs. That gave them a track record. Next time use your sense instead of tribalism and hatred.

Osibanjo had no record of being a vice president before he was elected into the office in 2015.

There is always a first time for everything.

My concern is that, after the VP asked his question, nothing was put in place, that answers that question. Everyone abandoned the security of passengers.

And by the way, this report is really meant to exonerate Buhari. It really has nothing to do with Amaechi and Osibanjo. They are just puns being used by the cabal, to throw a smokescreen that conveniently shields the president from responsibility of this massive tragedy.
