The stressful life of Lagos was second to none. Waking up by 4am so as to beat the usual Lagos traffic. My 9-5 job on the mainland was killing me. I barely had time for myself, my side hustle sef died instantly. The money was averagely good for a young bachelor but no, I wasn't gonna get old before my time.
I talked to my boss, got transferred to another state.

Each block you buy when you buy a land has to be paid for again to the Omoniles. One can't buy a land with ease. If you don't touch the land for about 6-12months just consider it gone, especially if you aren't from the SW.
In summary, Lagos is not the life meant for people like me.

The SS is gold, in terms of relaxation, confort, lifestyle, peace of mund, ease of living.

I'm exploring SE soon

Omo that's the truth. I love the place like mad. Relaxation and hospitality is superb in Calabar and Akwa Ibom (SS). Anything food is spot on, babes, roads, hospital, hotels and local chops is always on point.

Over population and a poorly managed or poorly planned city, is a no go area, and its two bad combo in one package, i hope the government of Lagos sit up about its infrastructure.

There is no greener pastures in Lagos.Dont let Nollywood movies device you.

I came to Lagos with only a bag at my back 12 years ago from Imo state after selling off my house properties (Chairs, TV etc) and a small toyota I owned.

Actually, I just decided one day to relocate to Lagos after all the struggles in the east and I have never been to Lagos before and know no one except that I had an aunt that reside in a remote location.
The plan was to start life afresh with the money I raised from the sales. It was an audacious move (don’t even know the spirit that possessed me to think of such a tricky journey) becaue if I fail I am finished but.... The rest they say is history.

I know many Futo colleagues that came to Lagos after school and are earning big and making it as well.

Thanks Fashola, Ambode and Lagosians!

If you fail to give honor to whomever honor is due.... you know the rest

Most young graduates got their first life changing job offers in Lagos though. Those who leave, usually leave for better offers outside the country.

I was raised in lagos. Lagos was good during my youth years. Then the express was filled with cars on high speed till brt came and caused current traffic. Lagos was really cool. Then I left to complete my HND in delta. At first I didn't like the idea of migration, I was always boasting about lagos. When I returned during fashola 2nd tenure I spotted lots of differences. Traffic was hell, dirt all over and the air didn't seem fresh like it used to.
Its was still better then. Now e don worse. Lastma, holdup, abgero(owo da). I hate driving in lagos one day I drove from sheraton to computer Village with a flat tyre. Fear no let me part change am.
Cost of rent is another dimension. I currently live in delta, my rent is 180k for a self contain with lots of cool features (large parking space, fully fenced, water heater, mighty wardrobe and is located in a cool civilised area. Just imagine Maryland with modern houses. If its lagos for a house like that will cost around 360 to 500k.

Any time I visit lagos I always can't wait to leave cuz its a hell hole. Life is complex and expensive. I find it hard to believe its the same lagos u grw up. Person dey lag dey earn pass me but the wahala of Lagos made me look like i earn more than he does. And the traffic is worse. U can't have a flat tyre and have peace of mind. Where I am if u have a flat tyre there's always some passer by thats willing to assist but for lagos just park to receive call (owo da) boys will storm u with threats. Lagos is fuucked

Real gidi boy... I swear lag used to better....now it's just one overpriced hell hole.... i'm also making plans to relocate... traffic everywhere ffs? Stress... Everybody is out to run you street at the slightest opportunity... grin

No place like lasgidi but at the same time abeg...i no do again i need a break

Born and brought up in Lagos, But came to the north to school. After service in ebonyi i could not imagine how i will cope with the rascality in Lagos, so i carried my bag and left for Abuja(One of the best decisions it took). But i still visit Lagos every year though, just to have a feel of the madness and for reawakening.

THE ONLY THING WEY DEY LAGOS WEY NO DEY OTHER STATES NA STRESS.

I have got better offers in Lagos but i turned them down, I am still open to relocating back to lagos but the offer must be excellent and triple wat i am earning now.

Well good for them.
Look for Futo graduates as far back as 2005 and beyound. Not the current Futo that is flooded with useless courses to attract all duke and Harry. During our time, you can count how many girls is in your class and most of them aren’t attractive.
You graduate from Futo then, go for aptitude test and work is already waiting for you. Don’t know what they are up to now.

I left Lagos because what I was earning was just for transport and rent. I forced my self out to Delta where I had Job that paid my rent and performed my responsibilities. I regretted wasting 7 years .
