Depends on the part of Lagos visit. If you'd visited magodo, ikoyi, Lekki peninsula, v.i, VGC, even Ikeja gra, your view about Lagos would change. Stop going to okokomaiko, ajegunle, mushin, bariga and expect to see street like dubai

U dnt need to tell him..na jjc him be...only those born n bred up in Lagos know sup about Lagos not All this jjc...Lagos na training ground for some people if u cn survive lag then u cn survive anywhere in d world..

There is no greener pastures in Lagos.Dont let Nollywood movies device you.

This is a lie, and the fact that Lagos has the largest economy and is the most populous further shows the reason it is a big fat lie!

Lol you're obviously still a kid. Get some money and visit Lagos.. when I say Lagos I'm not talking about agege or ajegunle.

I've only ever stayed on the island. Never stayed on the mainland in my life but VI is dirtier than Cantonments or Osu in Accra.

Abuja is better laid out than even the best parts of Lagos. Many of you mistake population and size for greatness.

And no other west African economic hub has as many people loitering the street as in Lagos or as many slum areas as Lagos.

P.S.
Presumptuous statements about an individual and ad hominem attacks are for the weak.

Very good, I also prefer being self employed than working under anyone. I know you must be a graduate, just focus on saving and invest later on.

I didn't say anything about 'fun'. I don't care about 'fun', that is how Nigerians justify living in the chaos, congestion and filth of Lagos. If I want 'fun' I fly into Lagos, see my people and then leave after a few days. No reason for me to live there.

I want order and cleanliness and Abuja tops Lagos by far. Even if you stay in Ikoyi you still need to go to Ikeja to get to the airport to fly out.

When they finally build an airport in Lekki, finish Eko Atlantic and improve the traffic on the Lekki-Ekpe expressway then I may change my tune, as of right now Abuja is a much better place to live in than Lagos. Same goes for Accra, ditto Dakar.

They are all cleaner, saner cities and the last two have much better electricity supply than Lagos.

Came to Lagos early this year for a 50k job. After tax u have like 48.... left with some sort of accommodation. Cost of living where i stay is extremely high. There is no communism. You will barely receive any help from anyone so long you are a guy. My salary doesn't even last me till third week. Have tendered my resignation letter, just waiting for approval. I prefer getting my hands dirty and being able to save rather than looking like you are financially ok but in actual sense u have nothing. Yeah, I am going back to my city to do my Okada. I know how much i was making from that work before i decided to give this opportunity a shot. By the way, we work Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. My boss isn't happy, i wish he could understand me from my own perspective. I will remain grateful to him but its time to face Nigeria's reality.

Bro
You can as well hustle with your okada in Lagos. God's favour will find you to get a better job.

I got my first major job in Lagos but had to leave when I was transferred by my company to another state. But seriously I must say I am living the good life here in Enugu. The amount I spent on house rent for a small apartment in Lagos, here in Enugu I presently live in a big 2 bedroom flat in a serene area at independence layout with the same amount. Seriously Lagos is damn overrated!
I agree with you bro. If not for water problem, Enugu is far better place to live than Lagos.

I came to Lagos with only a bag at my back 12 years ago from Imo state after selling off my house properties (Chairs, TV etc) and a small toyota I owned.

Actually, I just decided one day to relocate to Lagos after all the struggles in the east and I have never been to Lagos before and know no one except that I had an aunt that reside in a remote location.
The plan was to start life afresh with the money I raised from the sales. It was an audacious move (don’t even know the spirit that possessed me to think of such a tricky journey) becaue if I fail I am finished but.... The rest they say is history.

I know many Futo colleagues that came to Lagos after school and are earning big and making it as well.

Thanks Fashola, Ambode and Lagosians!

If you fail to give honor to whomever honor is due.... you know the rest

With the structure of your writing and your English grammatical usage, I can immediately see that you went to school and school itself entered your brain.

You are not one of our useless "yoots"! Unlike others I have seen on NL.

Well few years from now every part of the country will be standardized just like the few already develop once,..let always do good and thank those whose do us good in whatever way in our endeavor.

I left like 5 years ago, because of traffic...Too much traffic, and I didn't like the fast pace of the city. I moved to Ibadan to write...I can do what I do anywhere, and Ibadan was just a perfect city to move to...not too far from Lagos, so I can always pop in to see family every now and then.

Ibadan is a lovely city...very accommodating people, very little to no traffic (at least when compared to Lagos), quiet, safe. I still love Lagos though, cos I like to do faji sometimes, and nowhere like Lagos when it comes to having fun. Ibadan is not bad too sha when it comes to nightlife, but it is not Lagos.

Please which are the best 10 Lounges in Ibadan in your view and why?
