Suriname is a small country in South America, people normally enter( back door) Brazil through the country.

Why going through Suriname? have you tried getting Brazil Visa? Suriname/Bolivia should be your last option and it is not advisable cos it's not legal. If you enter through through BACK DOOR, getting docs(protocol or PR) will be difficult cos you won't be stamped in.
To your question, you need E-VISA with your green passport.

I heard Brazil is no longer granting visa like before. I want my wife to go give birth in Brazil. So you advise I get a Brazil visa instead.
I thought it was legal to go through Suriname, since you can enter Brazil with their visa. Please guide me on this. She will be traveling with my 2 years old son so I want to be very sure and their safety is important. Thanks for the reply.

Please, get Brazil Visa instead. Going through Suriname is not that easy oo, that should be your last option. Ask questions on this thread on how to go about the visa, people like pj3400, Techspot, keet, walex et all will assist you, take your time and read this thread from the first PAGE. But if going through the back door( Bolivia, Suriname, Uruguay) is the only option, best of luck.

Let me give my little contribution, Is Suriname to Brazil worth it? I don't know. It's a long journey. It depends on your mission and goals. Applying at the brazil embassy is supposed to be your first choice then if denied you can try the Suriname route. First, You must apply for a Suriname E-visa which is very easy. If successful. Getting a flight to Suriname is very difficult and if you manage to get to Suriname. You will need to take a ferry to Guyana which is the best route to Brazil city called Boa Vista. You will need a visa for both Guyana and Brazil which can be organized in Suriname. You definitely need a visa, but Brazil will give only entry for some days or will paste the visa. In other words, You will have no issue either going to Guyana or Brazil, just pay entry fees and enter from the borders. Think about it a lot before you embark on such a journey. Good luck.

There's no time frame these days u just wait for the mail

Even if you get into Brazil via Suriname, you will be entitled to a 10 year permanent residency once you give birth in brazil (if you are going there for child birth).

The only thing is that the flight is long, many and expensive compared to going to Sao Paulo or Rio directly.

Morning, please whats the minimum time does it take brazil to finalize visa decision and besides who approves visa, na embassy or fro brazil, if na brazil, whats the functions of brazil embassy in relation to visa .
